dotchas - I have not yet seen a quit leaflet in Scotland, and the H&B ones are like hens teeth - to prove my theory that Tesco in Scotland are mean with coupon leaflets - I had to laugh - in Coatbridge store today there were some SB leaflets - which are now out of date

Its been made clear to me by more than 1 sa that splitting the shopping and using mocs etc is not acceptable.

The last time I told an sa the second lot was for my step-daughter. She said I should have taken it to another sa then, but grudingly let a few coupons through.

Did she think I'd go back to the car, unload, and go back in for more shopping? As if any of us would do that. ;)

    :rotfl:

What a load of crap some SAs spout, I bet you a million pounds not one of them would moan about splitting your shopping if there were NO coupons involved...............

We all know what Mr T's Policy is.........We have no policy!!
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Thanks Highland Lass. I've posted on DM site and asked if they can set up collecting points for parcels. If that's not possible have asked for a general address where parcels can be sent so that all forces members get a parcel.

Also asked for a list of what can be put in parcels and if toiletries are acceptable.

maybe content of the parcel would be similar to that of shoe box appeal? since they all have to pass thro custom. so gel and liquid may not be allowed except toothpaste. aerosol can also may be seen as a hazard.
but i can imagine the force may enjoy a little bit of home action (those weekly magazines we bought for coupons). :rotfl:

toothbrushes and gillette shaver that we have been collecting should also be good.

I know that to be the case.. its no problem until the coupons are brought out.

Mind you.. one of them did say "They had a lady that was splitting her shopping up and using coupons on them all".. it might not have been me.. but then again... :o

Its just not worth the hassle of trying now. I'd rather just strike lucky with a happy scanner and buy extra H&B and get all the coupons accepted in 1 shop.

I don't know too much about royal mail letting free parcels go to our boys in afghanistan but I do know they don't want chocolate, it melts, and sweets are good also vitamins too, I think liquids are ok though. As you can see from my sig I think any suupport for them is good (unfortunately my BIL died in may out in afghan so the free parcels is a bit late for our family :-( ) but I know they all appreciate any parcels or letters from back home and I continue to try to help the other great soldiers out there. So its great that you all on here think of them too.

    thank you very much!
i was on holiday for 3 weeks. and when i came back, i had a morning with all your posts :)
    today i got elvive
    and nicki clarke
and Smile Colgate toothbrush (at the pharmacy counter i found a booklet with Colgate's money off coupons)
    and etc

it was very fun to reduce my money spending. a little bit sad, that i dont have any SB or H&B coupons, so gave only 2X quit coupons to SA .
    worth it, though!

Radox glitch still working in my local store and found some Elvive conditioners reduced to 64p each, used them to make up my £10 spend.

Was in Asda  earlier today after taking kiddiewinkles to the cinema. SA would not accept any vouchers on my £30 shop  . I asked him politely what the stores policy was on coupon acceptance and I don't think he understood me at all, got a garbled reply  . So back to Tesco it was for me later on, and I spent the grand total of £2 :D . Never any sign of coupon leaflets/QK/HB in my local store, but they are happy to accept them, esp if they say 'TESCO' on them ;) .

    2 x Elvive at £2.98 =£5.96
    2 x Mcleans at £2,28 =£4.56
    4x Haliborange at £2.12= £8.48

    Total before bogof= £19
total after bogof including Elvive glitch= £9

    Used £2.50, 2 x£1 toiletry, £2HC 2x£1HC and 40p Colgate=£8.90

Which is a grand total of 80p for 8 shops.....with no Quits used.

Couldn't you use another 40p Colgate leadhead? And although you say you're saving the £1.25 QK vouchers wouldn't it have been worth it to use two?
