does anyone have a use for the QK stickers - or do you all just throw them out??????????

    Just wondering.......................

Just put one of each design on an old piece of card and stuck the others round the house - sent the kids off with a card each to find them all:rotfl:

I don't think it's a mad thought. I thought exactly the same when I read it yesterday. Seems a brilliant idea to me and I'm sure it would definitely be appreciated.

I also thought that we assume that everyone out there has friends, families, girlfriends, mates at home but I expect there are quite a few who dont so they never get any parcels sent them. And also the families of some of these lads just dont have the spare income to afford to send out parcels

Just read the Daily Mail article, very thought provocing the home comforts parcels seem to have all the stuff we have been collecting. I wonder if shoe-box size holds the 2kg max?

Thanks Highland Lass. I've posted on DM site and asked if they can set up collecting points for parcels. If that's not possible have asked for a general address where parcels can be sent so that all forces members get a parcel.

Also asked for a list of what can be put in parcels and if toiletries are acceptable.

Would be nice to do something for the forces like the childrens' shoebox appeal at Christmas.

If every member of the forces could get a shoebox of nice goodies that would let them know we're all thinking of them out there in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Perhaps one of the newspapers would take it up?

Just wonder if Martin Lewis could consider this and maybe use his media connections to start this off?

Mind you, I can imagine the howls of protest from the PO about us abusing their kindness and more complaints about us overloading the helicopters.

Plus can you imagine the Lynx cloud wafting over the front lines - my 17 year old is addicted to the stuff, uses half a can at the time and we have to go to evacuate the house and escape to the bottom of the field when he comes out of the shower just to be able to breathe :rotfl:

A massive thank you to all the regular posters on here for all your tips and info. :T

I went off on a trial run today, clutching my few little quit pack vouchers. Amongst some other bits I got 4 radox showers and headed towards the checkout. As I came round the corner, an SA was just putting a pile of peachy coloured H&B leaflets on the counter  I'm sure my face must have been a picture - I couldn't believe it. The first ones I've ever seen in the store!!! :j Grabbed the lot bar two or three and whizzed off feeling like a thief.

I handed over 1 x £1 off £4 spend and 1 x £1.25 off £5 spend and ended up with 29p towards the shopping after their BOGOF reduction of £3.96.....skipped out of the shop on a happy little cloud. I went back for a second run and they'd put out more leaflets.....I left them alone this time as didn't want to be too greedy on my first day!

Thanks again for the tips! :T
