I received some coupons today from a very kind member of MSE :D
The CO would only let one of each coupon through though :o however I was really chuffed with what I got, £17 worth of stuff for £6 so not bad for a first attempt ;)

I also thought the Nicky clarke offer had finished but saw a bogof sign at the weekend for it and tried it and the bogof came off.

Have had loads more since then and it was still working this afternoon :)

Its really annoying when stores don't have the same policy! As its been said here loads of times Tesco's policy is that the have no policy! As for Tesco not giving you dtd..... that is wrong....it is still the policy and up in black and white behind their CS desks! Sounds like you got a crap load of lying SA's!

Tesco Policy has always been.....We have no policy.

I think its brilliant that they all have differing policies....if they all got it right, we would all be redundant.

But always remember Couponing is a priveledge....not a right
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Sorry to be a pain but I've tried to use the search tool and got nowhere. Could someone tell me if there is a separate shopping list thread for h and b and healthcare so I can have a go at trying to get the combinations right on the vouchers.
Also my local tesco express seems to have QK on a regular basis at the moment.(by the self scan machines) it's the one in South Manchester opposite the new up market pizza place that's about to open and near the new Waitrose. Hope that helps someone.

    Well I'm a coward!

I have really thought about trying to get a shop for just a few pence but each time I go instore I find myself adding things to my basket to try and disguise a HB freebie shop!

Tonight I spent £45 without realising how much it all adds up. I did get 8 Dove bodywash, 4 Mitchum deodorant & 2 x 29p toothpaste (I can't bring myself to buy the 21p ones - even though they are all going to the homeless - even they don't deserve the cheapest!) I also bought some healthcare. I did get £22 off in total which I was pleased about because I hid some of the magazine coupons in there and they went off no problem.

My ambition at the moment is to try and get a shop for pennies - quite a few of you subscribers to this thread do so why can't I????

    Any advise appreciated!

but it died around the 20th...I think most of the stuff on it was duplicated on here.............Ask and i'm sure someone will help you with your combinations, and they are coupons.....not vouchers....................................lol

    Hi Narla

I did a shop on Tuesday that came to £106 and I paid £36. If I want to do a big shop like this I buy clothes, H&B and Healthcare and use all the coupons (SA permitting). If you can find a scan happy SA get chatting to them first and then just give them a pile of coupons and say something like "sorry I haven't sorted these, can you try scanning them for me." Usually works well.

If I just do a H&B shop I work out roughly how much I should be getting off my shop (say £5) then I buy a £5 gift card. That way if the SA does not take all your coupons you haven't spent too much.

You have to bite the bullet sometimes and just go for it.

Hope this helps regards Julie
