I want to be Debt and Mortgage Free by 35!

I have just been playing around with the MOP calculator on the H@lifax website. If we want to clear the mortgage before I reach my 35th birthday in 2023 we will need to OP £750 a month on top of our monthly payment of £298. I think it is doable once all the debt is cleared. With this in mind, there is a real incentive for us to push ourselves a bit more to pay off the debt before December.
I have also been browsing Spanish properties for sale on rightmove. I really fancy the idea of having a holiday home somewhere sunny. It would be great as the boys are growing up. Its food for thought
I'm looking into possibly getting a NT annual membership, as I really want us to spend more time together as a family. It would be a one off of £111 or £9.25 a month but if we used it every weekend and used it for days out in the holidays it would be worth every penny. Decisions decisions.
Does anyone have an NT pass and do they think its worth the money?Savings for H2B Loan Annual £10, 774.65/£40,000Emergency Fund: £0/£1000 Car Maintenance Fund £0/£900

We have NT passes and have had for a number of years. They are well worth your money if you live near a property or properties you can get to easily. If you can't and there's a serious drive to each one, I don't think you would. We use our local one loads and others a bit more of a drive when we fancy a change. When we go on holiday in uk we always use it too, even just to call in and have a picnic en-route. So much more picturesque than motorway services :rotfl: I'd just check out cashback sites before you buy your first year as there is often 20% or so cashback available if you time it right. HTH

Thankyou Purple Fairy for your advice. I did a search on the NT website for NT sites in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. There are quite a few in this area and near where DM lives that I would love to visit. I think it would be a wise investment, I will keep an eye on cashback websites to offset the cost.Savings for H2B Loan Annual £10, 774.65/£40,000Emergency Fund: £0/£1000 Car Maintenance Fund £0/£900
