I'm wide awake and covered in stress hives, as if moving wasn't stressful enough on it's own I've run out of paper at work yet again, my mobile phone isn't working and my provider, 3 are taking 40 minutes to answer the phone.
Our new tenant's have been round to measure up and want to redecorate, Captain Hot Stuff is falling into the trap of being insulted and thinking that the house is perfect as it is. He hasn't decorated the living room or kitchen for 15 years, it's far from perfect! And since we are moving out why should we care!
Captain Hot Stuff also claims to not be sleeping AT ALL, in which case, why is he snoring?Chin up, Titus out.0 -

((HUGS)) Hester . My OH falls asleep sitting on the sofa and snores, but swears afterwards that he wasn't asleep
Our local Labour candidate came to the door yesterday and I didn't recognise him at first, because he is younger and better-looking than his publicity photosI should have told him I didn't realise it was him because I couldn't see as well as usual atm as I'm waiting for my cataracts to be removed, then he could have told me how, if Labour was in charge, no one would have to wait more than a week to have their eyes sorted out.....

Ah, but that doesn't mean it would happen, does it?Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -
Still feeling like an overwound watch, albeit a knackered one. My paper finally arrived at lunchtime today, I then had to catch up with the 57 jobs emailed to me before I had the paper.
DD sorted out my phone, I'm so grateful, I was rapidly losing my patience, I'm finding my failing vision very frustrating.
Roast turkey tonight, left over from Christmas next week we will be eating a lot of fish then the freezer will be empty, one less thing to worry about.
I have contacted a couple of charities to arrange for the house to be emptied, I've told Captain Hot Stuff he needs to choose a date for me to aim for, this lark of trying to empty the house but leaving enough stuff for us to be comfortable isn't working, if the tenant can't give us a date we will choose one ourselves.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh poor Hester
I'm so glad your DD was able to sort out your phone at least. Every little helps, so to speak x

Hello, garden fencers, been too busy with too much RL to keep up and post, but finally getting some time back!
We're still clearing my late mum's house, as it's just sold and we need to finish off. Also, LOADS needs to go from our house, so it's bin bags at the ready for the next few weeks or so.
We had our local MP knock at the door last week for the first time EVER - only lived in the same village all my life....running his mouth off about all the wonderful things he'd do if he was re-elected...personally, I think he needs to retire, at his age, but dread to think who'd be put up in his stead!! :rotfl:
