    Thinking of you monnagran xx

Well, the boiler has definitely had it. But DS has reconnected the immersion heater (not used for many a year, but the wiring is ok) so we have hot water, and luckily it's mild atm. No sure how long it will take to find someone to fit a new one, and we don't really know what sort we want either!

But in the meantime, I can have a shower later :j

We looked after the DGKs after school yesterday. It was lovely to see them as we havn't been well enough to look after them for a while. DGS is very excited about his new school, especially as "loads!!!" of his friends will be going as well. DGD is in her Year 4 play soon, and to everyone's astonishment she asked for a speaking part! (She's quite shy as a rule.) There are so many children to accommodate that they're having umpteen narrators, each with one line to say :D

I have a new mattress, an unruly bladder made worse by disability and a waterproof mattress cover slowly drying as the heating is off ...So last night I slept in my riser recliner with my heated throw covering me. It was bliss. Woke at seven, had brekky of Danish bread toast which is my favourite toast, so crisp and light.
Toast toppings were Marmite and Lotus biscuit spread (from Poundworld, never tried it before, had the biscuits many times in hotels. Quite nice, as an every-so -often thing).

I love the idea of Docky coming back, but hey, there was only one, the dog was a legend.
I thought of him the other day, two lovely greyhounds approached me on the trike, and then a smiling whiskery face informed me that one, at least, was a lurcher. A spontaneous 'Oh aren't you lovely..' from me. :D

You're right mcculloch, there can only ever be one docky, but I reckon I have a docky type 2.

I have discovered why she was so quiet this morning. It wasn't the calming effect of my magical way with dogs. unfortunately she has almost demolished one of the breakfast room chair legs. Another half an hour and it would have been no more. As it is she must have a tummy full of woodshavings. DS2 and DIL are going to be sooo thrilled when they get home, which should be any minute now. I think I might hide in the wardrobe. It would have to happen on my watch wouldn't it?

Monna I think you need to have a very good excuse for not walking the dogs for the next 24 hours to avoid the after effects?!

O h dear monna, I hope she doesn't suffer any untoward after effects.
I slept well last night, I suppose two nights was too much to expect.
We're planning to spend tomorrow night on the boat, there is a lot of stuff aboard that needs sorting out before we bring her home.
    Chin up, Titus out.
