Got my mri results, good news sort of, again nothing shows. But that means not even a lipoma, so back to the docs I suppose, since a hand sized swelling has to come from somewhere!
Ready for a middle of the day nap today, have slept poorly recentlySoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Glad the rubbish has been cleared NM.
I hope you get some answers soon SS.
My L&M has done a temporary repair on the fence, the neighbour who can't keep her knickers on isn't happy, she wants it done properly NOW!
She'll have to wait until Tuesday as we need to get the stuff delivered and we will be away part of Monday having the survey done on the boat. No doubt she will spent the next few days trying to kick it down. I just wish she had a job as she obviously has too much time on her hands.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh Hester, what a delight she sounds *rolls eyes*
softstuff how strange, frustrating to still not have an answer but I hope you get one extremely soon ((HUGS))0 -
Good SS!
Hellish bad night here last night, as bad as Doris. Howling wind and rain so heavy it sounded like pails of water being flung at the windows. Wee playpark at bottom of the village is a swimming pool now. But the snow has all gone apart from round the trees and along the dykes. My neighbour up the road is in the middle of the lambing too - poor wee souls (the lambs, not him).0 -
Soon you'll be out of there Hester. Hopefully not so far from that irritating neighbour as to make delivering a turd to her doorstep inconvenient.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

Just a quickie peeps - I've a dress that I'm taking to the cleaners - however its 97% wool & 3% lycra - dare I wash it?????Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Can you afford shrinkage?
Is it woven or knitted? Woven fibre has more of a twist if I remember rightly, knitted fibres tend to be loser giving rise to more of a shrinkage.
Any sign on the care label to suggest it's been treated in manufacturing to reduce shrinkage risk?
Do the fibres look like they might felt, although I expect the label would have named the 'wool' if that was a risk.
Is it lined? If the wool shrinks the lining being lycra won't shrink with it. It could pucker, maybe even hang below the skirt if you see what I mean.
You're friend is that there's a man made fibre through it but the wool content is high.
Does it have any interfacing? If these are washed they could effect the overall garment, even if the wool survives.
Hope to help even if I have confused it all a bit more. And remember I'm an outdated drycleaner circa 1998!0 -
I wash everything, delicate stuff I wash on a short cool cycle, I've not ruined anything yet.
So our knickerless neighbour phoned the HA to complain about the fence, she is a tenant, we own our house. The HA sent someone out yesterday to inspect, by which time my beloved had effected a temporary repair.
Another neighbour popped round to relay the basics of the conversation to us as she'd been dragged into the conversation with the HA, it went something like this.
HA 'So which fence are you complaining about?'
KN 'That one'
HA 'It's not blocking the pavement'
KN 'No but it was during the storm'
HA 'It's not affecting you, it's about 5 mtrs from your property and it would have been dangerous to try to repair it during the storm.
KN 'I want them to repair it now'
HA' Well it's been made safe now'
KN 'That's not good enough, they aren't getting it repaired until Tuesday'
HA 'Tuesday? That's quick, some people will have to wait weeks before we get round to repairing their fences'
With any luck she will break a toe as she keeps kicking the fence every time she walks past!Chin up, Titus out.0 -

maybe you can make a claim against her for damaging your fence Hester
There'll be the usual problem of a shortage of fence panels after storms.0
