Now here's a little puzzle, talking about dust etc.....why, regardless of the colour of things you put in a tumble dryer, does the fluff turn out a bluey grey colour?

Sad, I know, but it beats talking about the state of the economy /what terrorists are doing/who is going to win the election etc etc.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that :( I hope your weather improves, as that may help. I'm usually much better in the summer.

Stiltwalker I hope you're just very busy rather than not posting because you're too knackered! I know you've been reading along. Have you finished your assignment? I hope all's well with the family x

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has questions about dust! As for tumble drier fluff, I've also had a sort of magenta colour mixed in with the gray blue.

Mar I was hoping your kelp tablets would give you a boost.

Bit more cleaning accomplished today and next week's shop is done. I managed to save £12 from the weekly shop. The aim was £22 but I've bought a couple of things which will go towards next week and I may have fallen short as I just didn't have the energy--but still it is more money in the kitty and that is what matters.

Tonight's tea is a cheesy broccoli pasta bake and as I've found some YS strawberries a lancashire courting cake for after. It is OH's favourite cake and one of my favourites to make so I'll excuse the expensive ingredients.

I also got some lemons in the super6 as I'd like to have a go at making lemon curd. It is one of my aims for the summer so one afternoon next week I'll try it out.

    Right, off to the cooking.

Hi all - thanks for asking Ivyleaf - it's Easter hols here so just busy. Last essay not due til the 30th so been on the backburner - will have to do a catch up when the kids go back up on Tuesday. We've had a weekend away to see family, catch up with old friends and enjoy the excitements of the land of lego! Also had the usual holiday stay and plays and days out plus we've made a real start on the garden. Got the nest swing up plus a small trampoline and I've put up curtain poles along the banister at the edge of the decking and hung milk cartons cut down and filled with compost to which I'm slowly adding an assortment of plants and seeds. I've also cleaned out and refreshed the sandpit, built the new square play area (supposed to be a sandpit but filled it with plastic balls as already had the sand table), and installed the decorative cart wheel I got from B&M on the other side of the decking banister on a fixing so it can move as a ship's wheel. This afternoon I've made a start on the dumping ground behind the fence with a view to clearing that area out, doing a bit of tree pruning to let extra light in and maybe putting some low maintenance fruit there as now the fence is up it is finally safe to let Master Stilty roam however we have ended up with quite a lot of wasted space (I've had smaller gardens so I really don't want to leave it just as a carp collecting space). This evening I will be mostly sitting down and putting my feet up, with maybe a glass or 2 of grape juice (the fermented variety lol), I think I've earned it! Take care all - X

    Evening fencers.

All the dust in my house is intermingled with black and white collie dog fur - nice....

Went to village sports club, really lovely people who made me feel very welcome, so I will be going back.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Evening all- didn't think there'd be many posting on a Saturday WOW - must be the sunshine bringing everyone out - lovely:)
I've also cleaned the bathroom this morning. I know it had been neglected but when I was doing DGD's eyebrows for her she (diplomatically) said 'I bet you curse having chosen black tiles for the bathroom floor!! YES I do -seemed like a good idea at the time
    - and the dust on the floor is white and the dust in the white bath is black - just how does it know???
DH & I spent this afternoon digging out the compost heap & spreading it round the flower beds accompanied by Mr & Mrs Robin ( poor Mrs - she's lost all her feathers from her head - looks like a Trappist monk!)
Salad for tea & feet up with the box tonight
Have a good evening all x

Dust everywhere in this house, plaster dust seems to linger for weeks even when you think you've got it all.
Stilty you mentioned b and m, well today I heard the stupenous news that we are getting one. I had to sit down I was so excited. So that's been my weekend really, floored by the (possible) arrival of a bargain shop selling a rather eclectic mix of tins of hot dogs and king size beds.

Oh Possession, beware - it could be your downfall!! I have to limit my visits or I could go mad in there. I spent 10 minutes this afternoon stood in front of the solar powered lights trying to decide which ones I wanted and desperately sitting on my hands in an effort not to have one of each! Seriously - I love it, so many good bargains and mostly really good stuff, they often have sensory type stuff which is great for my guys at normal prices rather than silly beggars prices which is what you get when you stick special needs in front on any product description! - Catch you all later - X
