I've got my pre-op assessment at the hospital this morning. What a great morning to wake up with a migraine, eh? :( Oh well, I've had some paracetamol and hope I'll feel better presently. Thought I'd best not have co-codamol or may not be compos mentis when I get there!
I asked OH to make sure he put the details into the satnav before we're about to set off, but he's only got as far as jotting the address down. Been too busy coughing, poor chap.

I like Pernod, but I don't drink it because it makes me get VERY LOUD :o:D

I like most veg - can't really think of anything I hate apart from ice in my drinks and cream. Clotted cream is OK though (on scones - yum) I only like 'proper' Turkish Delight not the perfumed jelly that's sold here. I lurve vinegar (used to drink it as a child when Mum wasn't looking ) but now I drink it in its raw state - red wine lol. I'm also very partial to anything with ginger or marzipan. In fact it's DS1'S birthday today and I'll be making him my Apple & Marzipan tart. I confess I also eat all the coffee chocolates - greedy little bu**er ar'n't I?

I'm a very picky eater. I eat less than a sparrow and hate most of it. I like lamb though, a lot.

Just having a cup of coffee before I get on with my list of things to do....Well maybe I'll just have another coffee before I start

Hospital went fine, and my migraine went away :j Thanks for the good wishes :) i have to be there at 0700 next Wednesday for the op, but my consultant only operates there in the morning, starting at 0800, so at least I won't have long to wait when I get there :)

silvasava I eat all the orange creams :o which reminds me, burtha Yes I remember the mixed Cadbury's Cream, with each segment a different flavour, lovely!

I love cabbage but only when its cooked to a mush with bacon ribs. I do eat a lot of mashed carrot instead of potatoes preferably with swede.

Went for physio yesterday and it was brilliant, gone are the days of big boned Nazi trained female physio's inflicting pain. Lovely young man who was gentle and understanding and thinks he can help me avoid surgery ( which he doesn't think works to well). Although its a tad more painful today I actually slept last night and rather a lot of today too. I have gentle excercises to do and orders not to stop knitting/ crochet as its good for me.

Shepherds pie for tea using mince leftover from last night. Thank goodness I get my carers money tomorrow as while I love being frugal rationing loo paper isn't making me happy :rotfl:

Off to wrap myself in a blankie and do as I am told :D

My baby brother (born 1971) was given Dinneford's, I loved it! My boys were given Nurse Harveys as it was allegedly less alcoholic. The fennel stuff came in sachets, and it was free in their Bounty Boxes - remember those Candy?

Yea, I remember :-D oh happy daaaays :rotfl:
