Huge (((HUGS))) mila. Such wise words from Nargleblast xx
burtha Thinking of you
Floss I'm glad this new job should be less stressful than the one you ended up with last time you were with the same organisation
I spent longer than was wise in the garden yesterday pulling up loads of Michaelmas Daisies (and feeling a bit guilty about it because the bees like them, but there are bulbs I need to plant before it's too late!) and am suffering now. Not as stiff as last night, but all the same places still hurt  C'est la vie!0 -
A fairly subdued garden expo today. Won't go to that one next year, 1/3 of the place had nothing to do with gardens at all. And it's further away than the other one, with dearer admission (I got a groupon).
So a few more plants joined our household today. And I had enough money left tk pick up some lawn topdressing this evening.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Glad you were able to find some new plants at any rate Softstuff
(I'm so glad I read that through before posting. I had missed out the "l" in plants....)0 -
Fuddle: I have a cover on mine which I grasp firmly in my left hand. This means that it doesn't swing forward and hit you on the head, it swings forward and punches you on the nose and you lose the long post you have just written.

Hester, I want you as my role model. As Rome burns I want to be otherwise occupied in the bedroom with stockings and a good time.

Our daisies are just starting to flower0 -
Can't believe that we have had a whole week without rain, the grass got a cut this evening and I de-weeded the driveway at the front, how I hate that block paving!
Washing is in for tomorrow, I've just done 3 loads for my friend, her machine is disconnected as they are having new flooring in their utility room. I had forgotten how much washing you have for a family of four.0 -
Hugs to Mila
Congrats to Floss
Hope you manage to refrain from hitting colleague Hester
Sending hugs to anyone else who wishes them and hope everyone has a good weekend xx0 -
My darling GD has been up since 5am, thank heavens for Ben and Holly, I don't normally stick any of the DGC in front of the TV, but half an hour won't hurt, she made a nest on the sofa of my quilts and blankets.
We have had breakfast and are now about to make biscuits, she loves her Wol but has now decided she wants a guinea pig and not just any guinea pig, one that looks like hers so I think I'm going to have to knit that one. I need to look for some eyelash wool in white, brown and black to match her guinea pig Spike. The things we do for love !
FPK, nothing wrong with ding cuisine, sometimes it's need must.
SS, sorry the garden expo wasn't that good.
Thanks for the book suggestions bit if I threw a book at the wall at work it would make a huge hole, we have some sort of cardboard partitions system that isn't that strong.
My L&M has to have a 24 hour ECG monitor so we are waiting for an appointment from the hospital, he has to only take moderate exercise, so I'll get on top for the foreseeable future!Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Hester ask on the knitting thread if anyone has any of the sort of wool you need. Someone may have some bits.
If you ask Mrs Moneypenny on the knitting thread she may have a hedgehog pattern you could use for the guinea pig they are much the same shape. I am not sure what size the hedgehogs they used to knit for charity were. The charity was a hedgehog hospital, they sold them for funds.0
