Ivyleaf, Softstuff is correct one of my BIL's renovates and builds houses and flats and the rules are stringent on noise reduction, parking and many other things.
For those with a strong stomach I have posted a pic of me in my boots on my blog.
We're off to see DD1 this morning, it is DGD's 12th b'day, we will take over a card and some chocolate and give her some money for clothes.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Thanks Softstuff and Hester. Churchmouse has managed to read the text on the plans and there are proposals to soundproof between the two flats, but the party wall isn't mentioned. I don't think the owner realises how much we can hear.
Thanks for cheering me up with the pic on your blog HesterI hope DGD has a lovely birthday. Money for clothes (nearly said cash for clothes
) sounds an excellent idea.
Lovely day here today so I will do some more weeding and put in some of the crocus corms we came across buried among the gardening stuff by the back door. They are a couple of years old but still feel fine, so worth a go, though I expect we'll lose a lot of them to the squirrels.0 -
Sorry to hear of potential problems ivy leaf hope you manage to get something sorted tomorrow
Lovely day here so went for a good walk at a ruined castle nearby that I haven't been to since I was a kid.
Friend taking me for a meal out tonight to celebrate my birthday which was on Thursday. Going to TGIF which is a little overpriced imo but it's his treat so not complaining.
Hope everyone else is having a nice sunny Sunday xx0 -
After a really horrible night the RV hauled me into A&E at 7am, and we were there 5 hours waiting on bloods etc. Inflamed gallbladder. So yet another scan - I'll be shining in the dark soon.0

Sending you a gentle hug Mar .

Poor you Mar, I hope you get some help soon.
Visited DD1 and my L&M stripped on bedroom wall for her, the house is a right bodge job, the previous owner painted purple gloss over some wall paper and then plastered over some of that!
