Floss Most people who get given a short contract with NHS end up with a full contract. Is it less of a commute?
That's how I got into the NHS last timeIt's less £s than I left, but also less stress
Yes, its less commute - about 1/3 of the miles and half the time, with the option of motorway, country lanes or A-road past the fracking site :eek:2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

*HUGS* Mila
Congrats on the new contract Floss, sounds good.
Hester, don't take the flogger to work.
I'm off to a very dangerous place today. The garden expo. Nothing more deadly than a pensioners sharp elbows if she spies the last of a particular plant :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Floss sounds goo all round. A lot to be said for less stress.
sofstuff take it the garden expo is as dangerous to you as a yarn sales to us knitters. I have had to stamp down hard on myself with the planter as I have run out of windowsills and there is no where else to put plants other than the garden. Not being mine, will the grass cutters cut down my bulbs in the spring?0 -
Wow , not here for a few days and have missed a party
can we do it again please
Mila, hugs
Floss sound like the start of something good , fingers crossed
Old people in garden centres scare me lol
Hester , become a penguin, just smile and wave .... It will scare them more .... some people just believe their own hype ....
To much work and no play here , plus rubbish goings on with step kids , joy joy joy , why do some people believe the world owes them without doing anything to contribute ....hey ho
And of course it all our fault , .....Rant stomp ....end£223/ £250 GC0 -

I wish I could Burtha, but I seem to have lost my equilibrium.
I woke up with a mouth like a camels armpit, my L&M added an extra duvet to the bed and put the heating on, I could do Wilson Kepple & Betty's sand dance on my tongue this morning!Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Thank you so much for your uplifting words Nargleblast. I haven't had anyone to talk to and I really hesitated posting, but I'm glad that I have because you were willing to help me.

Morning all,
Mila, I'm sorry you're having to mourn again. Hopefully you'll find some closure to the situation soon. It is sad, but you have a lovely family and can I guess that Quoye is the child of that now grown up 13 year old? You seem to have helped her to cope in what must have been a very confusing situation. Big hugs.
Floss--Congratulations! I' sure you could have done without the upheaval, but I'm glad you've landed on your feet and have something for the next few months.
Hester, I hope you find something to dispel the rage. You're too good to have to waste all of that energy. I've done the paperback book thing (if they have a stiff spine they often make a very pleasing sound when they hit). I've also done the cushion thing. Sometimes you just need to get it out of your system. Next time you can just say..'oh, but you seemed to know your way around last time I showed you...' and walk off.
Lots of work today and I'm tired. I'm so glad it is Friday! OH has to work late and I have to confess to a second ping meal this week for my tea tonight. I know, I should have something in the freezer or do an omelette, or at least something healthy but coming in around 7:30 from yoga I don't think I'll have the energy. I'll console myself by saying the having a plan is OS, even if the plan itself isn't!
Hugs to all who need them.x0
