  • Morning all...she says gingerly stepping around cheese straw crumbs and spent homebrew bottles...:D

I'm relieved that today is a work from home day, topped off with my walk this afternoon. I have more work than I can get done, but it will be so nice not to have to get on a bus and rush around. Morning chores are all done and I'm just eating my porridge--raspberries and peanut butter today. Leftover chorizo and bean stew for lunch and then spag bol for tea--two meat meals in a row is so unusual but at the moment anything goes on the meal plan. My list for the day is waiting for me so I'd better get cracking. I'll try to keep the noise down for those of you with poorly heads. ;)

I thought that was the case Floss, not a huge loss oF salary then but what a pain. Still, goes to show how employable you are.

I have paracetamol if anyone requires them, the packet is dusty but I expect they keep. Look at the mess, you naughty lot.

Here I am. Bright eyed and bushy tailed, observing the hungover and suffering downing their black coffee and pain killers and shuffling through the empties and crumbs. How did that bra get itself draped over the lampshade?
    HESTER???!!!

TiredTrophy: I can only apologise for my friends and assure you that there is one person here who is unfailingly sober, respectable and clean minded.

Floss: What a bummer! Surely the person who engaged you must have had some inkling that all was not well. I think you are being incredibly restrained about it all.
You must feel very let down. Keep us up to date with developments, we are all rooting for you.

Odd question, has anyone ever cooked a beef heart? I picked one up for $1.30 and thought I'd figure out the details later...

  • OK fess up WHO has the coffee spoons??? I know it seemed like a very good idea to dig our way into the over 50s complex last night to liberate them, and I've just about managed to convince the man from the council that the dent in the road IS a pothole but which one of you has the spoons??? kindly remove all traces of tarmac before returning them if only you had listened when I said that the gate was OPEN!!!. This morning we've had several calls from various branches of the police, the dog handler is still wandering inconsolably round the block calling for his dog which is odd as there is a german shepherd asleep with the little brown dog in the understairs cupboard and the empty bottle from the cooking sherry is on the floor beside them alongside several empty crisp packets, snoring like a buzz saw and the rest have been slightly embarrassedly asking where they can find Hester!!! There are also a couple of traffic police desperately trying to find who has the key to the handcuffs so they can release the poor young constable who is handcuffed to the road sign on the roundabout because he wants to go home to a darkened room and his mummy!!! What a night!!!!!

I've not even seen a beef heart to buy softstuff. Do let us know how you get on with it though. What would the price roughly be in the UK?

Well I say! I am absolutely horrified at the behaviour of my elders and I even more horrified at the lack of desire for me to join in! All I can take from it is that life does begin at 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80!

My grandma always said that us younglings think we have the monopoly on fun but little did we know! ;)
