Okay, a dilemma...if one was aware that one's employers were heading toward financial meltdown, at what point would one consider walking away?
I've left sooner rather than later here. Part of the problem is being paid your entire wage, the other is dealing with creditors who see you as the face of the business.
So sorry about this Floss.
As for celebrities getting it all out, I vividly recall doing the same in my late teens, when I looked more the part. Two particular outfits, a small red mini dress and a see through black top with wonderbra beneath were particularly memorable. On one night as a student I went out, paid for nightclub entry, had drinks all night and a taxi home. Somehow when I got up the next day I had 50p more than I went out with :rotfl: I have no shame! I look at teens now and think they could do with a bit more clothing, but then remind myself what I was like and grin. Hell, I'd do it now if I looked that good.
Hester, I have no doubt that your L&M is a huge fan of your new boots.
It appears I'm late to the party, if it's still going Elder flower cordial for me please Floss. It goes very well with gin.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

No. It's too late now. I've retired to bed with a mug of cocoa and will be the only one tomorrow with a clear head.
Oooooh, Hester. My imagination is boggling.:rotfl::rotfl:::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well fancy having a party without me. I woke at 1.15 am so I went straight to bed after tea. I haven't slept a wink. Must be you lot making all that noise.
I'll have some elderberry wine and cheese straws and some truffles too. I must get some sleep soon though. Going to Malta next week I need to find two light small presents for DD & SIL. I must go tomorrow and have a look round. Need to get some Eros before the £ falls again.
Nearest thing I ever had to not wearing much was one morning while I was a student nurse.
Matron saw me crossing the main foyer which was crowded with staff. I was on my way to breakfast (we started before breakfast and had a half hour break for breakfast at 9am or 9.30am. All 6 stone of me was in full uniform my hem well below my knees. She Shouted for all to hear "Nursemaggie I can see your !!!!, go to the sewing room at the end of the day and get that dress let down." We were supposed to have our hems just above our ankles.
A few years later we were wearing them well above our knees.0 -
I remember similar profit-making outings. I think I might have owned the same outfits as you too...
It was a whole heap of fun while it lasted
I'm becoming tempted to have Hester as my role model though. I told hubby about her trying on the work boots and he wonders if I need boots for gardening :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I left early too as I wanted to show my L&M my boots again!
On the subject of big boobs, mentioned a few pages ago, I used to have big ones and I still wear a big bra, but that is only filled because I roll them up and tuck them in, old age and gravity have taken their toll.
I also wore far too little as a teenager, and it was not a pretty sight I'm sure, the problem with the Kardashian's and their ilk is they are not teenagers.
And although I wore very little when running parties and club events I changed into those clothes at or just before they started I didn't inflict my clothing on the general populace!Chin up, Titus out.0 -
I hope you have all had a lovely time and that your heads are not too sore!
Floss, I am delurking to tell you that I would be looking for a new new job now. I think you possibly would not qualify for redundancy? In any case, that wouldn't apply if the company went to the wall, would it.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
AOD I've only been there for 8 days, so no redundancy whatsoever! I have been paid for 6 of them, and it's not a huge salary so not too much to walk away from.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all, coffee machine is brewed and pain killers available for those amongst us who were the brightest stars in the kitchen last night, my, it was fun. I loved in particular when the conga wound its way into the over 50s complex to 'liberate' those who lived there and I got a bit dizzy going round and round the roundabout on the main road, I do believe some of the stranded drivers who were there for some time got out and joined in, all a bit hazy though. What I do remember as the high spot of the night though was the look on that nice young constables face when Hester saw he'd got his handcuffs out and she offered to demonstrate all the alternative uses for them that she knew.......now that was worth being there to see. I could relate many more little anecdotes but I won't because....................0
