Burtha: You must feel very tempted to go and knock on the door of one of your nightmare customers and insist that they stand there while you bore them to tears with a recital of all your troubles. Or you could gather a few friends and stage a riot on their front lawn.

Poor you. It is much too hot for dealing with those sort of shenanigans. Take every opportunity to put your feet up and enjoy whatever small patches of peace and quiet you can lay your hands on.

Another cloudless sky this morning and I have no plans. We will just have wait and see what, if anything, transpires.

    Enjoy the day everyone.

I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.
  • Good weather here again - and the plans are finish weekly housework:(, head out for walk (another new route to explore - I don't often re-visit ones I've already done), finish current bookclub book, hopefully some weeding in the garden:(, not watched latest episode of "Eden" yet.

Well I am on hols for a week and it's dry!!!!! This is almost unheard of for me I could go to the Sahara and it would pee down. So got a nice quiet day planned today pottering around getting blankets dried outside to put away for a couple of months and a general tidy up. Got a busy week planned catching up with friends in some cases 2 different visits in one day. Phew if I didn't hate my work so much just now I would almost be glad to go back for a rest. Away to take mutt out then catch up with the Olympics.
Burtha feel your pain been there done that and now too old, grumpy and ill natured to go through it again.
Monna agree that gardening is outdoor house work hate both with a vengeance but at least indoors I feel you see more for your efforts.
Hester take a break woman!!!!!! I think we all insist if you don't I will come down and sit on you and that will likely break a few bones so you have been warned.
Hope everyone else is ok xx

Hi Everyone so glad I managed to get back on line.

I posted to sympathise with Knitwitchhaving just got back from the hospital and after having another good shop around the charity shops I wrote a long post. I clicked to post and there was a big bang!

Not my computer but MSE. I was treated like an invading virus and have not been able to get back on until today. I have a new password but at least I kept my account.

shanks77 I read your post for Hester and was very surprised to see your name not Monna. I will come and join her Hester if you don't get a rest. I have been called a big bully by several patients but the first person to call me that I tripped up over all six foot of her and landed on her belly while playing netball.

I will go and catch up and come back after dinner.
  • Glad you got back online Nursemaggie.
Hubby has nearly finished the ensuite, DD has dropped her dogs off here as she is out all day tomorrow and her local postman keeps leaving her gate open and then the dogs escape!
Our visitor was here earlier, he has gone out for a while, but will be back.
I'm having a lazy day after yesterday and numerous trips to B&Q.
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • I've listed 66 CD's on Music Magpie, I made £14.75 and the dogs fell asleep beside me on the sofa.

Well I'm up to date. You have all worn me out with your business.

Nice to see you back Lyn.

We were woken a bit early this morning about 5am. 2 year old above us who likes to play at being a horse. DS has already gone to bed, I think I will after I have nicked his washing from his room.

Very relieved to see you're ok NurseMaggie, we were getting concerned xx

I'm starting to think about the next round of renovations now. Though none of the rooms are finished, it's very tempting to move on to the main living area, get those tiles ripped up and new tiles laid. This and new light switches would see the end of the really messy work and of tradesmen. After that, it'd be all down to me. We've even decided that my MIL and I will remove the last wall to be removed together. Because it's less hassle learning to be a builder than learning to live with one :rotfl:

Don't do it Softstuff! Driving me nuts having all the unfinished bits... I want to get on with the next bit, but am trying to make sure the bits that are done are done before I starts creating anymore chaos.
