That sounds horrid knitwitch, I hope you recover soon.

Had a kitchen designer out today with the builder I use, looks like I could be having a new kitchen soon. Deep joy!

Knitwitch, that sounds awful, take it easy as you recover.

I hope you manage to sort out the problem Fairyprincess, but in the meantime the desk scotch sounds good. We finished the bourbon bottle last night (not in the one night, we've had it a while).

Hester, that sounds like a pitch for the new version of the krypton factor!

Camelot, new kitchen sounds thrilling! We're getting through more work here, the bathroom waterproofing has gone in, half the tiles are down in the bedroom and I'm off to look at tiles for the main living area today.

2 year old dgd , was very impressed with HER toilet... everyone had to go and see it with her ... maybe I should have put a cushion in there for the "adult" to sit on ....

    Hello from New Mexico.

Horrific illness Knitwitch! To end up in the hospital! Yikes! Was it food poisoning? How are you doing now?

I wish I could post a video of my two yr old GD sitting on her potty chair 'reading' a book. My husband looked at it and said you know she is learning one of life's most important skills....how important it is to relax with reading material on the toilet. And here I was, waiting for a profound statement :A and he comes out with that! :rotfl: Sheesh!

My oldest took DGD with her to look at a nursery school today that they will most likely enroll her in. This two yr old FaceTimed with me on the way home and told me "Quoye has a school now. Quoye is almost a little women". Oh my darling girl!
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Oh Knitwitch - nasty! Please take things gently so you recover properly.
Monna - do hope you have recovered somewhat from looking after DGC's. Got a rally booked for Wooton Creek early September so weather permitting I'll buy you a sherbet or two in the pub there!
Hester - it must be all the sex that keeps you so agile to get over the gate ;)
Going to help a friend this morning put her China on a couple of websites for sale as she no longer uses it & maybe do some baking this afternoon.
Have a good day all x

    Morning all,

I never got around to the scotch in the end softstuff. Being disloyal to my roots, I don't drink much bourbon. I told OH about what had gone wrong and he just laughed at me. It will be sorted before anything goes public. Last night's soup leftovers for lunch today, a serving that is enough for tea and lunch the next day in the freezer and one that is just enough for one person or two starters frozen. Between that and a batch of spag bol the freezer stocking project has begun. OH is doing some tuna pasta broccoli for tea while I'm out at yoga.

I'm having a bit of a day off today. I may have something through later that I want to work on, but it can also wait until Monday. We're photographing a lot of things for ebay this morning and then I think I'll garden and sew this afternoon. OH has just gone out for a jog and will fetch something at school he wants to sell. I'll also get some washing done while we are in favor with the sun gods.

Hester You must be very limber. OH was once cat sitting for his parents and locked himself out around dusk wearing only his dressing gown. He went around to climb through a window where a neighbor saw him and phoned the police. Meanwhile he'd gotten caught on something trying to get through the window. He managed to disentangle himself before they arrived by leaving the dressing gown behind but said he was never crawling through a window in the nude again. :rotfl:

Monnagran, your kite flying sounds brilliant. You can also make your own kites by using cheap bin-liners (the white ones can be decorated with markers). There are lots of patterns online for garbage bag kites using dowels, but you can also just attach string to your own shapes and see how they do. Those little stickers used to reinforce holes punched into paper can make them a bit sturdier where you attach the string. (Don't worry, brownies never go to waste in this house!)

    Camelot :T

Mila and Burtha they both sound adorable!

Kidney infection :( luckily the kidney isn't damaged :j so just a case of finishing the antibiotics and getting my strength back (and bringing down blessings on the heads of those that set up the NHS and curses on the heads of those trying to dismantle it!)
    Must use my stash up!

monnagran As I recall the buses in Bembridge are not that frequent. I only had to use them once, as my Uncle used to be in care at Inver House. I also had terrible trouble finding an ATM in the village.
I can see the Needles from Southbourne (Bournemouth), they call the white rock formation the polar bear, and it really looks like that on a clear day.(Useless information I know)
