My boss lined his garden paths with wine bottles, looks really good. I'll see if I can get a photo of it.Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0

Quick post , but will post later ,
Anyone need old bottles go and ask if you can go through the empty ones from your local club or pub , we would very gladly let you take what you want , saves us putting them in the bins ...
Buy for now£223/ £250 GC0 -
That is very odd TandT, best popping in to the police for a chat. If nothing else, they'll then have it on record if it continues. Sorry you're having to deal with this, it must be quite unnerving.
Back in my bedlam here and I've added pest control to the mix. One tiny room and I've had every trade in there. My plumber is on fine form teasing everyone else, but at least it's making me laugh. Think I'm going to be in the garden mostly today.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I would also tell OH Tips. He is with you probably more than anyone and needs to be on the lookout. Perhaps he could go to the police with you.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

First of the month and it's all go with the decorating, half the furniture is being collected tomorrow, the rest once we sell.
I'm not sleeping well, there's a surprise, but it's Titus and teeth, it's the only way forward.Chin up, Titus out.0 -

Best of luck Hester, everything's crossed for you xxSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Burtha I'd add to that - make sure none of yer neighbours sees you raking among the empties in the pub skip, or takes a pic for FB lol0

Simple answer to that - a post up on Facebook with a photo of new bottle-lined path saying "Look what I did folks - doesnt it look nice:)".0

Morning all,
Hester best of luck. Moving is never easy and even less so when you'd rather stay put.
Tips I would also suggest that you report it. There are new laws on stalking. I would also advise that you tell your OH in a calm way. He is more likely to act sensibly if you tell him calmly than if he is startled by encountering the situation in person, iyswim. I've had my own go-rounds with stalking in the past. Once I didn't report it and it went on for years, even following me online when I'd moved several times--including countries! The second time I did report it, although only to the institution we had in common. It was dealt with efficiently if not necessarily with as much tact as I should have expected. All that to say, it is very unpleasant but reporting it does work!
Burtha and CBrownThanks for the tips. I've buried my first seven bottles--our recycling was emptied before we went away. We produce a fair number of our own, so I won't need to ask for any--which I'm sure would produce some interesting whispers in our neighbourhood as Mardatha suggests.
Ivy I must confess that when I read your post I also pictured you with an umbrella in your water glass and all of the men in the butchers shop clustered around you with palm fronds. I hope you're feeling a bit less wobbly today.
In addition to putting in the first seven bottles of the border (about 1/4 of it) I also broke down two fence panels to go in the bin. It is empty since we've been away so I can get all but the long pieces with the nails in into it for collection tomorrow. They've been hanging around for almost a year now with the landlord never actually materializing to take them away as he promised. I've had enough so I took my irritation out on them yesterday and got them broken into binnable sized pieces. I still have one crate of broken pieces to carry to the bin and a small section that I didn't get broken up before dinner time, but it is mostly done. I'm not sure what I'll do with the long bits, but at least they're a smaller pile. They might possibly go in the shed for the landlord to deal with when we eventually move out. I also did three lots of washing to ensure we're caught up before this week's rain, changed bed linen and did not get around to vacuuming. OH made tea, so it is my turn tonight. I'm trying to decide between soup, spag bol and spanikopita. I'll check the date on the mince, that might make the decision as we don't have room to freeze it.0 -
FPk Spanokopita gets my vote! I've never tried making it but remember enjoying something similar in Cyprus.
No, no little umbrella in my water and no palm fronds, but the thought made me giggle too
I was thinking of going to the walk-in clinic this morning, but they'll only say it's a virus, and I don't feel sick so no tablets needed. If it's no better in a week I'll go then.0
