I get heartburn just thinking of Mexican food! I don't think I've ever tasted maple syrup... Costco have it but it's not cheap. And given my sugar addiction I maybe better not
I'm getting seriously fed up with rain. Either it rains in the morning then dries up - but the midges come out, or it rains in the afternoon and I can't get a washing oot, or it rains all bloody night and I cant sleep for the noise.0 -
That's OK Mar. When I rule the world I have it in mind to organise a patch of blue sky right over you, with enough sun to make it warm and cheerful and enough breeze to keep the midges away. Just imagine how good it will feel to go out of an evening without having to swathe your head in a teatowel first.
Don't thank me. That's the sort of loving, generous person I am.

Mardatha, you have to try maple syrup. It's like liquid crack for sugar addicts, well worth the price and I'm a tightarse.
Mila, I always wanted to try the little Mexican whatnots... like a cornbread wrapped around a meat middle in a leaf... but I've forgotten what they're called.
Ivyleaf, weekend brekkie, bacon pancakes and maple syrup. Because you're worth it.
I'm over tired and a bit like a toddler, kind of weepy. I made a stupid and expensive mistake today and feel such a fool. I accidentally left some plants behind in a plant cloakroom at the expo. Hubby has to drive me all the way back tomorrow, I'll have to pay for parking and, if I can't sweet talk my way in briefly, another admission to get them. I was hoping for a lie in and break tomorrow, but I've screwed that and it will be a busy traffic heavy trip. I know it's a mountain out of a molehill, but there's other things going on in my life (fathers estate and issues with my mother ) and though this is silly and small it feels like that straw that's not sitting easy on the camels back.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Softstuff could you ring them & ask if the plants can be brought to meet you, maybe to a delivery point where you won't need to park?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I tried that but it was a no go. It's such a large and busy thing I guess.
It's a small problem really. It just feels disproportionately large this evening is all. A storm in a teacup that'll be over by lunch tomorrow.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Softstuff: Ouch! That sort of thing is so upsetting, not helped by beating yourself up over being forgetful. It happens to all of us, which is no comfort I know. My grandmother always said, "Worse things happen at sea," which I think was supposed to help you put things in proportion but seldom did.
Hope the retrieval goes well and won't be as stressful as you fear.

Aw, Softstuff
((HUGS)) I'm not surprised you feel weepy, you must already be really tired after all your hard work in the garden.

Softstuff It's always the little thing that are the last straw. That is why it is called the last straw. You have been doing too much.
Mar it's the washing with me too the only way to get it dry is to turn the heating on. I am sure it is raining morning afternoon and night with the odd half hour breaks in between. If the sun comes out there's a rush for the only decent washing line. One whirlygig between 18 flats is ridiculous.0 -
I just want to say goodbye to you all and not to cut and run without doing so. As of this afternoon I find I cannot be part of MSE life any longer, my resources are all used up and I have nothing left to give. It really has been such fun over the years so thank you to each and every one of you for sharing and caring and being so lovely. This is my very last post, I'll have to find other ways of filling my days which at present are filled to capacity with harvesting and processing the things we grow. I'm very sad that I've reached this decision but overall I think it will be for the best. I'll miss you and I won't be logging in again, Love always Lyn xxx.0

Lyn we will miss your wisdom, humour and your plain common sense. I hope that one day you will feel you can visit us again and perhaps take part.
Please remember you have many friends here, and I will certainly miss your friendship that we have developed over the years.
Much love to you and He Who Knows and take care of yourself
