Lunchtime update. .. according to google 1.5 cubic metres of gravel is about 3 tonnes. I've moved about half (bucket by bucket down stairs and across 26 metres) and readily believe google.:rotfl:

Floss, don't forget that old favourite, A long felt want!

Monna, playdoh, loads of recipes online I'm sure.

The referendum results are burbling away in the background, I'm hoping they will bore me back to sleep eventually, I need to get more sleep tonight as DGD is staying tomorrow and she's not sleeping well at the moment and I know I will have a disturbed night with her.

Softstuff, I once did something similar until the bucket handle snapped and the full bucket landed on my foot, ouch, so be careful.

I'm working my way through pages and pages of submission information, having been advised by my writing circle to enter my stories into some competitions as I could win some prize money, I suppose it's worth a try.
    Chin up, Titus out.

  • THANK GOD THANK GOD THANK GOD. It looks like we're out:beer::j:beer::j:beer::j:beer::j.

The neighbours probably heard me whooping and clapping down the end of the road:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Boy - that was a sleepless night and a half - thinking "Please dont let other people land us in it...please dont let other people land us in it.....etc etc". I've only just dared to get up and click straight onto newspaper headlines - and it looks like we are OUT:T:A:T:A

I switched on the TV and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I had expected the result would be very narrowly in favour of Remain, perhaps to the point of needing a recount

I was surprised that mine was one of only two London boroughs which voted Leave by a large majority.

I'm sure the sky wont fall.
  • I'm just kicking myself I didnt lay a substantial bet at the bookies (that would have been a "first in a lifetime" visit for me but still...:rotfl:). I was nervous about the result - but overall thought it would go for Leave.

Anyway - Cameron has just "left". Speech on the doorstep later and he wont be Prime Minister any longer by October.

Mixed feelings over the result but let battle commence!! We'll do what we usually do - roll up our sleeves and get on with it.
Monna will pm you with details - I'll have DS1 will be around so a strapping lad to escort you home if necessary . I'll certainly make sure our time together is completely decadent - just don't let Hester know :)
Other items to look for in the building trades
    Skirting ladder
    Bucket of steam
    Sky Hook
Ask store an for a long weight
    Etc etc ;)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
