The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

A frog sitting in the garden having a sluggy breakfast - envy time....
I do wonder whether I should try and attract one to my garden to help out with things like slugs or no - and, if so, if there is a way to do so..
I was surprised when walking on next road over one evening to see a little frog running across the pavement in front of me (as I'd never seen anything like that before). So I'm guessing there must be some somewhere nearby and wondered whether they are hanging out in a stream pretty nearby that I cant get anywhere near (because of building etc) or someone nearby has a pond with them in.
Hmm....will give that some further thought. Five courgette plants sitting there in my garden later either partially or totally demolished by resident slugs - and there was me with visions of courgettes coming out of my ears......0 -

Wow burtha! Go Mr Butha Go!!!!
I still can't get my head round the distance. All this week I have been struggling to walk 65 meters without having to stop. Everything I do is a gigantic effort rather like those who will struggle to finish today's race but will crawl on all fours as long as they finish.
It is caused by my cancer drug. Looks like it is making sure I feel every one of it's 40 odd side effects with a vengeance before I finish them next month.
I think I must look really ill because everyone kept asking if I was OK even the other patients. My nurse told me all my symptoms were side effects of my medication.
I have only managed 9 rows of knitting this week.0 -
Sending you gentle ((HUGS)), nursemaggie. I'm glad to hear you only have to take them for one more month. Will you need to go on to a different drug after that?0

Nursemaggie: you take things gently flower. It must be ghastly to feel so tired and low but it seems as though the end could just be in sight. No wonder the long journey to hospital wears you out. You must dread it. Don't try to be brave on here, will you? Rant and complain as much as you like, we are here for you just as you help so many of us.
Well done Mr Burtha!!! I simply cannot imagine how anyone can even contemplate running that distance. Do hope he can retire to bed for a day (or two) at the end.
My last day of freedom. The family return tomorrow evening. I have so enjoyed being on my own. The first time for nearly 10 months that I have been able to do exactly what I want, when I want. I feel a bit selfish but I have spent 77 years doing my best for everybody else and have almost lost sight of the person I really am. I think some hard decisions are going to have to be made soon.
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Except Mr B. of course. You keep running.

No ivyleaf that will be it I hope. I should then just have to go back every six months for a scan and see the doctor every six months. I don't expect the side effects to stop immediately just taper off as they built up over many months. Thanks for your hug was in need of that today.0

Monna I hope he has finished by now. I do think you are going to have to put your foot down and live life your way some of the time. I bet your week has whizzed by.0
