Oh oh I've got the old format back and it's sooooooo much nicer. Didn't do anything either it just happened on its own. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to whoever did manage it, much appreciated!0

Totally weird, logged on this afternoon, got the new format, made a post and then it appeared and we were back on the old format. WTH?!
I don't like the new one. I'm not that resistant to change, my employer changes the stuff I use virtually weekly, but this seems not-so-good. Went onto SHTF thread and there was page 1 behind the latest page.
Was there anythng said about this change ahead of time? If so, I must have missed it.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Came out of the blue at lunchtime GQ just as did the much welcome change back to the old one. I guess it was perhaps changed to see what the reaction to the new format would be? Doesn't seem to have been a success but perhaps the tech people will 'tweak' it a bit and try again? I just work by the 'If it's not broke don't fix it rule' myself which makes me a bit of a dinosaur though doesn;t it?0

The final post in the "Sticky" on the Site Feedback board called something like "New forum Roll Out" says the new look was only meant to have been rolled out to a small group of testers. Oops!
Very few people seem to like it, many folk especially those with dyslexia or Irlens Syndrome found it impossible to read, and many got headaches (me included) so I really really hope they won't decide to roll it out permanently0 -
How do I find the SITE FEEDBACK BOARD please IVYLEAF?0

I had to figure that out, too! Go to the list of all the different forums (not the lists of threads on this one), and roll down to the very bottom, it's there. HTH.
ETA. Martin Lewis himself posted this a few mins ago:

I obviously don't post often enough to discover all these excitements. My computer seems to have its own agenda anyway and will often switch webpages when I am in the middle of something. I was annoyed when all my smilies disappeared but not enough to do anything about it. I did get on to this forum the other day and on to this thread but nothing came up at all. All threads were the same. Perhaps they were doing cunning things then.
All panic here. I had this week pretty fully booked up when yesterday the man who inspects churches and manses to make sure that the fabric of the place is OK and to highlight anything that needs doing, rang to say that he was in the area and could he do our quinquinial manse inspection on Thursday. I heard the Rev saying, "Of course you can come on Thursday. I won't be here but J. will be." Now the house is always fairly clean and tidy but not necessarily inspection-worthy, IYKWIM. So amid my packed 2 days I have to fit in a bit of intensive cleaning. We are going away for 5 days on Saturday and I intend to have a chat with the Rev - possible at high decibel level - about the advisability of consulting me before agreeing to these things.
Anyway, I am about to turf everything out of the bathroom and steam clean everything in sight.
Don't you wish you were me?
Love the stories about pets and socks etc. My friend had a dog that always had to find me a present when I visited. Now the odd slipper or teatowel I found quite charming. Her teenage son's underpants from the dirty laundry basket were slightly less appealing.
The bathroom is calling me.
I'm coming.....................

Thanks GQ I found it, have taken part in the poll and left a post with my take on things. I read the Martin Lewis post and felt a little hurt by the 'do as we tell you, you're not at all important to us' message it seemed to be giving. I find these OS threads such a useful and friendly place it came as a bit of a shock to find that all of our feedback is not even intended to be taken into consideration, makes me wonder if we as participants have any value to MSE management at all?0
