No I think you missed it Sheila and Mar but I don't think you would have liked it.

I think it was just on at lunch time by mistake well we all know it is happening now.

I have to say I eventually got fed up of the constant change on facebook as it was no longer what I joined so I left. I got 5 month old posts from acquaintances and nothing from my family. Before it was very family friendly and they even gave us a private page when my DD was trapped in Libya. I think those few days were a worse nightmare than the first couple of days after I was diagnosed with cancer.

I guess many of us share the experience of facebook and feel we could end up in the same state.

My main worries about the new one is too bright and the change to the things below each post. Without the thanks going away you have no idea where you left off yesterday. I post on 5 threads and lurk on another 5. There are also two I only post on occasionally.

No change for me earlier but I wasn't on earlier.

Had to take DD to the airport at 3.30 this morning so feeling a little tired. Just spent 2 and a half hours cleaning her room and liberating the odd socks that were trapped under the bed, etc. Totally exhausted now, going for a bath, some TV then bed.

We used to have a dog that could take the socks off your feet and then he would 'kill' them! The children thought it was hilarious.

Softstuff I am SO getting a starter when our kitchen is sorted. I must think up a good name for him. Bernard?

I like it. I should start one too. I was thinking Mike. Mike the malodorous.

I finished the flat yesterday :j I have hands that ache, a few cut, plenty of bruises, callouses, a hole worn into my knee from crawling and a pain in the neck... but that too will pass. Photos will follow shortly (hubby is starting to take them for the sale). We're going to meet an agent there this morning, then I'm taking the bloody day off!

Evening fencers. Good news on OldDog, blood tests came back fine so just the arthritis to tackle and she is actually taking the medicine. Maybe one day she'll go back to stealing dirty socks too.
Spend less now, work less later.

That is a day off that has been very well earned. Congratulations.

Seem to have missed all the fun this afternoon ,hope things don't change to much ...
    Quick dog story ,
Few years ago our springer brought me a lovely gift, it was about 2 30 in the morning and she should have been down stairs, she came up and kept nudging my hand ,I woke stroked her head and told her to go to sleep .....10 minutes later she came back up and nudged my hand again ,this time I sat up to see what was wrong ,putting my hand under her mouth because I could see/feel something there , she gave me her pup ..wagging her tail then ran back and forward to the door waiting for me ,clever dog ...we went down stairs and spent the night delivering her babies ,think we ended up with 10 ...she wasn't due for another week ..bless her
Another thing she would do was sit looking up at you with big brown eyes, and as soon as you bent down to cuddle her she would burp in your face ,...kids thought it was great lol:rotfl:
Miss her ,I know we have lots of dogs but each one is soon different from the next ..

    Morning all,

Slightly bleary-eyed today as next door was at it again last night. Even with ear plugs and an extra cushion over the head he still woke us both up several times. He is still at it now, shouting with his mates and doing something that sounds like throwing chairs against the walls. We like living here, the house is nice, and between OH being able to walk to work and the low rent we're able to save quite a bit. We talked about trying to find another place to rent in the area, but rents have gone up considerably and we're trying to save for a deposit but it does make me want to throw up my hands and move some days.

OH has a parent's evening today, so I've a long day to work with. I've got the usual laundry and tidy up planned, but I think I'm going to make a start on my sewing after that is done. My extra spring cleaning chore is to clean the fridge. It gets done about once a month but needs it again. I'll also go to the gym, and give Maggie the cat a few extra play sessions. She's seemed a bit bored with her toys lately, but I found her laser pointer when I vacced under the sofa cushions yesterday, so she has some variety now to get excited about.

OH will have his tea at school, so I'll do an omelette for myself. I also need to order a new bed sheet as another one has worn through. I replaced another one about 4 months ago and went with what I had before from Dunh. Mill as the two sets have worn very well. Unfortunately they've changed and I'm not happy with the replacement. I think I'm going to try JL for the next one. Both duvet covers are still in good condition, and I'll use the good bits of the worn bottom sheet to make a pillow case or two--buying fitted sheets means no sides to middle.

Definitely a well-deserved day off Softstuff!

Pleased to hear doggy tests have come back with good results.
