Softstuff when do you arrive in Blighty and for how long? Are we all still on for a mini-meet in Blackpool on 25 of this month? I had better suss out where to actually meet up :D

I'll be in England from 20th April - 7th May and yes, I'm still very keen to meet up. We need to get it sorted where before I set off because I'll have no Internet access when I'm over... or mobile.

Floss don't forget I don't have a mobile phone either. Has anyone contacted either of you saying they would come?

As both Softstuff and I will be coming by bus. May I suggest the bus station. Come to think of it I am not sure I have ever seen one.

Wish I could come - bit of a trek to Blackpool though! I hope you have lovely weather that day.

I went with Churchmouse to a meetup in London some years ago. We found two others, then there was one lady there on her own and we kept looking at her and she kept looking at us....fortunately she plucked up courage to ask if we were there for the MSE meetup! (Hi there VickyA, if you happen to be lurking atm! :D

Nurse Maggie I think it was moved to Market Street some years ago . I haven't been to Blackpool for about 15 years so not sure if it's still there .
Good luck to your son with the job I haven't been on the thread for a bit but will try to post more . Just stopped for a cuppa and now back to sorting the garage .
Take care all , hope you have a good day .

There isn't a proper bus station here now, just a couple of places where they gather like teenagers!

Nursemaggie I guess you're coming in from Preston? Is that the rough direction you're travelling from Softstuf? I will check out where they stop & find somewhere nice to meet :)

Monna - just a quickie - has your DGs boat got a name?? My first boat was given to me - a little dinghy called Ladybird. She needed some TLC which DH provided. Her hull was originally white but she's now a lovely shade of red with two Ladybird logos on the bow - she makes everyone smile. I'm sure your DGS will have so much fun in his and I can certainly understand him kissing her!

    Hi all,
Have been playing catch up for the last hour, reading the last weeks worth of posts , you lot are mad but great ... just what I needed , nice people doing normal stuff , puts me back in the real world ......
Mil died Friday , disgusted at the way other family members are behaving, so bad , so sorry for dh , in a million years we do not deserve this , crap was hitting the fan before she was even cold , ( not by us) ... no contact with his siblings from then till today , one contacted him to see how he was , dh told him how fedup he was and the reasons why we are getting the blame for things we haven't done , and our side of the story , what has been going great on etc etc .... His shock but understanding said it all, thank god , ...It probably still will not change anything , and still think we will find out funeral arrangements from local gossip not family, but will go and leave as soon as ,then never ever see any of them again ....
So wish this week was over ....

Burtha So very sorry to read your sad news . These family things seem very common nowadays , I just don't understand it . Sending hugs to you both - hard as it is remember we can't change these people but we can change the degree we let them impact on our grief and wellbeing . Head up and eyes forward love x
