  • Totally brilliant, both the girls loved the 2 Ronnies shows, DD2 also had fits of giggles over the raspberries, my friend Sue who has Charlie the retriever always called the dogs Charley Farley and Docky Malone!!! We loved the country yokels over the gate too!

Thanks ladies, for starting my day off with a smile :)

Sunny here today, and going to be hot. Guess what it's doing where DD and family are on holiday? Raining :( If only it was dry they could spend their days sitting on the beach and not having to spend anything! They are making the best of things though. I just feel cross on their behalf, as they needed a break so desperately and the weather's lousy. Ah well, that's Britain for you. Pot luck with the weather! I'd still rather live here than abroad.
  • Oh Lyn, yes I do, one of our favourite programmes, and both girls watched it, but the Phantom raspberry Blower was their favourite

That's a blast from the past.

I found the Two Ronnies far funnier than Morecambe and Wise.

Having said that, I loved the M & W sketch where they were in the kitchen preparing breakfast to the tune The Stripper.

Thanks for the advice re: the back trouble :) Mine is due largely to poor 'core' muscles which I normally do exercises for - though never as often as I should - but I'd had a bout of sciatica and hadn't done any for well over a month which is all it takes in my case :(

I do get up and move about as much as possible and your right it really does help. Sort of at the "grab" stage now where you go along fine and then it just grabs you and your down for the count until it eases again.

Hot and really muggy here, need to make something sweet so best get my thinking cap on. Won't be a cake as I refuse to turn on the oven, maybe flapjacks or summit ;):D

Oooh Petula - feel for you! It always seems to catch you out when you're least expecting it. Sounds as if you are doing everything you can but these things do take their time don't they? Do hope it starts to improve for you soon.

Petula, I feel your pain (or I did a couple of months ago). Had a couple of back episodes before but this one was really painful, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Loving the memories of M&W and The 2 Ronnies, I think I appreciate them more now than when I was young.

Been up since 4 as I couldn't sleep but I have got so much done so worth it. Exhausted now and sitting on the sofa with the TV and laptop!

Just posted to say good Morning to everyone really :) I don't think we'll be doing much today as it's raining.

    Good morning campers :D

I think a day of gentle pottering is on the cards for today, so much to do so little enthusiasm to do it :rotfl: Feeling a bit better and seem to be able to go just a little longer between "grabs" so happy days!
