    Evening all :)

Am popping in while I have a couple of minutes free, I did try to post a couple of times but it keeps getting lost. Hope everyone is well and is seeing some sunshine :)

Things are busy here and I have recently had my back diagnosis which I am coming to terms with.
On a positive note this year we have finally managed to grow some cucumbers!!! We have tried many many times unsuccessfully but this year as DS11 is home schooled we have had the time to invest into them and we now have lots of lovely baby cucumbers growing amongst the triffid tomatoes!

Sending lots of hugs to you all :)

How lovely to "see" you paidinchickens and kidcat You've been missed!

There is a way to go back to the old forum font, I'm not sure how but it involves going into your Settings. I think the directions are on the Forum Feedback board. Then if you stay logged in it will stay in the old format. I think that's correct :o

kidcat I know you've been having back problems for a long time :( What do they say about it, can it be helped? Congrats on the cucumbers :T

Popperwell how nice of Ian McMillan :) Sorry you got so cold at the concert, I hope there were no ill-effects.

Well, we had our blocked gutter cleared last week and the blessed pigeons are still stomping about in it wondering where the water's gone. I expect it will become a tradition - "...and so, children, we commemorate The Water by stamping around in the place where it was, every day, and we believe that, if we keep the faith, one day The Water will return!" Noisy blooming things!

I'm glad to be back. I've been feeling really sorry for myself and really let go of the purse strings.

My bad back turned out to be 6 herniated discs, 3 of which are bulging and trapped nerves etc etc. I was in agony so finally went for an MRI. The problem is the medication piled on weight which makes things worse and they make me so miserable so I've spent a fortune on

Pilates, Yoga, Acupuncture, Chiropractor...............etc etc. All these things help and a lot of the alternative therapies are at the local College so not as expensive as it could be. The Acupuncture is a block of five visits for £50 and each visit is an hour and half. This week I had the Chinese cup massage which was lovely.

My plan now is to try and sort my tummy out and get my diet in tip top shape and to lose weight. I'm off the tablets so feeling slightly more optimistic!!!

I've had a go at making Sauerkraut as that's supposed to help heal the tum but I couldn't stand it..........any tips anyone??????

Hi elona Sauerkraut is supposed to be a really cheap, really effective source of pro biotic that's why I was trying it. It's supposed to be far better than any pro biotics you can buy.

Hi nice to see Pic and Kidcat posting again. Sorry to hear you both have back problems hope they can be resolved quickly.
Sorry can't help with the Sauerkraut but if I thought I would help my particular ailment I think I would just close my eyes and think of England kind of thing and have a glass of something nice to wash it down with lol.
Lol Ivy I know it's not funny for you but just have mental pics of the birds in my head.
Hope everyone is keeping well xx
