I know it is hard Lyn but oh so much better than when they cross the road not to speak to you because they don't know what to say to you.0

....and the update here for today is that someone is trying to demand money (with menaces basically) out of me on the excuse that I live in a private road now.:(:(
I can see clearly they are in the wrong - but its not easy to hold onto my temper and not tell them "what for" about it...obviously.
I'd just love to call one person concerned by their (accurate) title of "spiteful" and another by theirs "right little thief".....but I'm having to exercise self-control and not do so...
Oh well....will sleep on it and a clear course of action to respond to this is forming gradually in my mind and, by tomorrow, I should be in calm/firm/objective frame of mind again and can deal with this okay....
This has gotta be some sort of Sods Law right? - eh just when you are thinking "Maybe I can just Get On With Living My Life (at long blimmin' last) some **** wotname pokes their head up above the parapet and you think "Oh forgawdsake - now what do I have to do to deal with this Unexpected Extra and then I can Get On With My Life at last?").
Aka known as "Gawdgimmepatience".... <sigh>0 -
moneyistooshorttomention It does seem that when all you want to do is have a quiet/uncomplicated life "Trouble" comes looking for you:(Hopefully it will look different tomorrow and a plan will come together.
About to have supper(simple stuff)mini garlic and herb roasties and scrambled eggs. Just grabbed something.
Not worth walking around all the shops to find bargains sometimes but the other day the biscuits I purchased cost me 29p a packet at a freezer shop(not on offer)today in a big supermarket same biscuits being sold at half price and yet there they are still 29p dearer. Coming in at 49p. It all adds up."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Mrs LW, that kind of temperature shouldn't be mentioned in these parts, it has ben about 10 degrees and raining here. The stove has been lit!0

Sorry CAMELOT, he who knows has just been closing windows and putting on a fleece as it's dropped to 20C in the lounge, phew I'm still toasty warm and sunbaked. Sending you some sunshine vibes petal in the hope that they add a little warmth to tomorrow, Lyn xxx.0

Agree with you camelot1001, been out in a coat and not been warm the last few days. We have only had one day you could call summer this year that was 4th July which I spent indoors all the time mostly in waiting rooms at the hospital.0

Mrs LW: there's been a recent trend here of pet death notices in the local/neighbourhood papers. Usually a picture of the dog/cat and a brief description of their life.
I think it helps the human remember their companion and let's other know.
It's always nice to know that others liked our companions. Mr. Collie has a fan club at the local school and the other week in the supermarket a little girl told her Mum "that's the lady who the big, hair dog, that likes kids".0 -
So sorry to hear about your friend Camelot ((HUGS))
wondercollie I love the idea of a doggie fan club0 -
Forgive me for butting in...
Miss Leigh (Viv to her friends), the small terrier in the large red life jacket has something of a fan club on the Broads when we're on holiday there. She is also quite well known on the Norfolk Broads Forum.
She is currently penning a children's book about her boat and her slaves and boat safety (wearing a life jacket and being very careful when on deck). Obviously, slave (f), aka me, is acting as her secretary...“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”
