The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

NurseMaggie, shelters and rescue's can always use dog walking volunteers. I used to do it for the SPCA when I lived in Vancouver and couldn't have a pet in my apartment.
Hope you are all having a good weekend, I'm on for my long stretch of shifts and exhausted.0 -
Morning fencers.
Camelot - hope the strawberries tasted as good as they looked.
NurseMaggie - where I live (North Yorkshire) there is a scheme to look after people's dogs while they are in hospital. Maybe there is something like that near you.
Today fencers, I will be doing the wet weather jobs - so thats, ironing, finances, some paid stuff and a bit of cleaning if I get time.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
So update on the brownies disaster...
I just took it out of the oven and left it while we went out
Came back and it had set
It is delicious
Dangerously so....
Trouble is I had made enough for 12 - and now there are only 2 of us who will eat it....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Oh dear, that's a shame:drool: Are they freezable?
Sheila TBH I would never buy tools from a car boot because they might have been stolen from someone's shedVery well done with the gatepost though. We have one that needs replacing, but it's been put directly into concrete with no "sleeve". (before we moved here.) It badly needs replacing so that we can put a new back gate in place, but can't get the old post out

5C and torrential battering rain. Another fabulous spring day in Scotland. Soggy sheep and crying lambs over the back fence, a very RV inside. Magic lol0

Perfect weather for a couple of bags of sweeties and a good book.
Rainy here and DDs and son in law are staying for a few days to help out. I managed to get DH to a lovely care home on Thursday night and we all stayed with him making sure he was pain free and made as comfortable as possible, knowing how much he was loved.
We lost him around lunchtime on Friday but he was with us to the end and had privacy and dignity which was priceless.
Can't do much till after the bank holiday so we are just muddling through.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
