I'm so sorry to hear your sad new Elona. You worked so hard to take care of him, and I'm glad that he had a peaceful and comfortable end surrounded by those he loved.0

Pops he is so lucky to have you around, hope you all enjoyed the celebrations sounds a like a fab night out
With the weather warming up your friends confidence may start coming back bit by bit. Less chance of slipping etc
Elona hope your feeling okay hun x0 -
Elona You're still in my thoughts today, I hope things are going smoothly on the arrangements side of things now that offices have opened. For the real side of things, all I can offer is more hugs.
PopsIt sounds like you had a lovely time. I wouldn't worry too much on your Bingo spends or whether you break even. It seems to me that the outing and time with friends does you a world of good. Most of us cannot live in isolation. I hope your friend enjoyed his birthday celebration.0 -
We have managed to arrange the funeral service and cremation for next Saturday which will leave time for people to make arrangements.
Will discuss members of younger generation as pallbearers as some of DH's cousins have health problems etc and I don't want anyone hurt by paying respects.
Trying to get info in local paper this Thursday so people have advance notice.
DDs are arranging cleaning service for me as we intend catering a buffet and having people back to the house. DH and I had been planning a family get together in the summer as he loved the house and garden and wanted them to see it.
Veering between having a sensible and practical head on and suddenly feeling tearful but as we had been so worried last year a lot of the crying and shock had already happened IYKWIM.
Thank you all so much for your kindness and support :A"This site is addictive!"

Oh, Elona, I am so sorry. It maybe sound a weird thing to say but what a beautiful farewell your DH had. None of us could want more at the end than to be comfortable, pain free and with those you love most deeply just a heartbeat away.
Be very gentle with yourself and when all the bustle and activity is over we will still be here to prop you up. Promise.
Well, what a bank holiday. I don't know about you but we've had bright sunshine, torrentional rain and thunder, all within a short space of time. I feel so sorry for those who were looking forward to a weekend spent out side. We called into a garden centre that was bursting at the seams. I've never seen it so busy but guess that all the garden tools, plants etc will be stowed away until spring reappears.

Monnagran...You must have had a wet bank holiday then ?....We only had the rain on and off on the Sunday, but last night thank god we had rain hence we now have full water butts, tyhe rain was much needed here, we dont seem to get that much , we are only a mile from the coast , but 3 miles away they can have thunderstorms and all we get is dark skies and a little drizzle, its said that we are the driest in the UK.......
Today there was no need for a coat just a fleece, but we do have high winds but blowing warm, ive cut the grass twice in the last week , thats the warmth of the soil.....
Elona.....I think you have done so very well with all the funeral arrangements , do slow up a bit and take some time for yourself , otherwise you will burn yourself out , take care sweetie....
I picked up my new glasses today from Specsavers , they are the second pair as I found it impossible to get by with the one pair , so ive now got 1 pair in the car and the new pair in the home , specsavers were very reasonable and gave me excellent service I cant fault them, the new ones are same design and colour of the first pair, these are designer frames .......
Well my blue tit is sitting on 8 eggs . wow she will bve a very busy mum if they all hatch, cant wait to see her feeding them via the bird cam......:D
