It isn't wise to PM any relevant personal details to any poster here, and Marktheshark should know that he shouldn't be requesting them.0

There is no excess on MIB claims any more.
Your options, assuming the other party remains untraced and uninsured is to either claim off your own insurance, stump up the £450 excess and claim that back, or see if an accident management co/ credit hire co would put you in a hire car and claim the repairs or write off value from the MIB.0 -

Is that where you got your avatar from - a Quentin selfie? All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -

There is no excess payable under the Untraced Driver Scheme or Uninsured Driver Scheme0 -

No? The MIB page previously linked to states:The 2003 agreement applies in respect of accidents on or after 14 February 2003 and consideration will be given to property damage subject to the accident being reported to the police within 5 days or as soon as reasonably possible and the offending vehicle is identified. Claims will be subject to a £300 excess.
Given how bad the site is, wouldnt be too surprised if its wrong0 -

I will lose my no claims and also have to have a fault on my insurance so it will increase my premiums for 3 years.
It is not as bad as you think. Now you have informed your insurer, it will be on record anyway. Just get it sorted via insurance. This is why we have insurance in the first place.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

Thanks guys for some reason my account got Blocked? I don't know why but still
I worked out how much it will cost me on my insurance if I went down that line. The £400 excess then I will lose my no claims and also have it down as a fault on my insurance cause I will be claiming against my own company apparently but still on the worse case scenario I will be paying over 3 years and extra £2000! In total
It may not be as bad as that though if they do track him down or if he comes forward maybe I won't lose out too big but still.
What is the best thing to do and also with personal injury would the mib cover me for that as well?0
