Well now I've got to let you know about my improved sleep.....even in the heat LOL! In fact strangely the heat hasn't been keeping me awake at all the past couple of nights, I've just opened the window on the landing, which faces the quiet direction away from the road, then just kept my bedroom door open to allow (hopefully) a bit of cooler air to waft through.

Of course a week is still early days, but the main reason for better sleep has simply been due to getting to bed much earlier on a regular basis, helped immensely by a prezzie our lovely Levi sent me, which is a reward chart!!!:j (I'd told him I am reward-orientated, like a child LOL! So he suggested a reward chart might help, like the ones he does for LL:D) I have a midnight curfew to aim for and earn a star:staradmin and at first I was missing it by about 20 mins or so, but even that was far better than the 1am or 2am bedtimes I'd been having....but now I'm managing 11.45 or 11.30 and am going straight to sleep:T:T

I'm also trying to avoid being online and/or on the diaries in the evenings for a while, and this seems to have helped stop my mind racing.

I can't even begin to say how much better I'm feeling just for having slept!!!!!!!!!!! I've already noticed how much more energy I have in the mornings instead of dragging myself around and having to wait until late afternoon to feel remotely awake!

By the way my chart is very pretty, it has hummingbirds on! (and has columns to earn stars for daily tasks)Thanks so much Levi, you are an :A xxx

    sooo glad its helping :)
i didn't wanna be the guy that is like "oh, i'll help you" and then do nothing.... so it was my pleasure to make it and you'd be surprised by how many adults (lots of my clients) are motivated by this kind of visual aid.. i am delighted to hear it is already making a positive diff. your body will become accostomed to it soon enough that you may find you just get natrually tired at an earlier hour as well.. :):) :heart2: x

PS: amazing raccoons and Becs.. Saved by the Bell was my "the only reason to get up in the summer holidays" tv show :D i used to get up and watch a double bill everyyyyyy day :)

When I wake up in the morning,
And the alarm gives out a warning,
I don't think I'll ever make it on time.
By the time I grab my books,
And I give myself a look,
I'm at the corner just in time to see the bus fly by
It's alright ''cause I'm saved by the bell.

If the teacher pops a test,
    I know I'm in a mess,
And my dog ate all my homework last night,
    Riding low in my chair,
She won't know that I'm there,
If I can hand it in tomorrow, it'll be all right!
It's alright, ''cause I'm saved by the bell

And what DID happen when you were on Funhouse???

I'm away this weekend.....in Manchester....at a wedding....and I'm hoping it won't be TOO hot or my friend will melt in her lovely wedding dress!

I could come back on Sunday but we're giving the happy couple a send-off to Mauritius on Sunday afternoon so it looks more likely I'll be back on Monday.

Have a fab time in Manc at the Wedding HB!!

That reward chart sounds amazing. I wish it motivated me!! Music is my motivator.

Am laughing at the Saved by the Bell theme tune ;) and Hummingbird, my personal theme tune right now is the lyrics to 'Tsunami' by DVBBS.

^ Yes I was home when you wrote that Westie, but I was soooooo tired after two very late nights or should we say early mornings!!

The wedding was a really beautiful occasion held at the V&A Manchester Marriott which is by the river. We had an afternoon reception which went on until nearly 7pm and then an evening do with another buffet, which as there were only a few extra guests coming to we ended up having some of as well!! Plus they had a fab "candy buffet", a dream table filled with sweets LOL! (Think this week I'll be redressing the balance, especially since we were all encouraged to bring bags of sweets home! :D)

We waved them off on Sunday for their flight to Mauritius, which was due to leave at 2pm......however after being delayed for 5 hours the plane was eventually cancelled at 7pm:( so all the passengers were allocated hotels in Manchester again!!!!!!!
Several of us including the bride's Mum and Dad met up with them again at the Crowne Plaza so I ended up seeing 2 Manchester hotels this weekend LOL.

They have already been told by the airline that they will be receiving compensation - I told them to check this site for advice of course!!!:money: (And especially because it was their honeymoon). They went back for the next flight at 1pm Monday but it was delayed again!!!!!!!!! :mad:Thankfully they did finally manage to leave Manchester yesterday though!!!
