I know I have a low credit score, these are my ratings

callcredit 484
equifax 462
experian 672 (was 678 prior to them cancelling the card)

aqua have not replied to any emails and the customer service helpline aren't helpful at all!!

all information keyed in is and was correct. no point lying to try and get credit, all I am trying to to is build a credit rating no ruin it.

It may just be because you applied for two close together. I have a callcredit score of 991 out of 1000. I applied for a Tesco card and got it. Shortly after I applied for the Sainsbury card and got rejected. Maybe try again in a couple of months?

You are not the only one. My friend has just had this same thing happen to her. They had even sent her an invitation to apply.

Would be interesting to know if there are many other people this has happened to. Sounds like she applied the same sort of time as you as well. Wonder what kind of glitch in their system would allow this?

i have received a letter from Aqua apologising and they will investigate this further, the credit account was opened (showing on my file) and decreased my rating, it has now been removed and my rating has now gone up to what it was before.

I won't apply for anything for at least 6 months (i don't need to) and carry on being careful with my finances!

Did they remove the credit searches as well or give any explanation as to why they accepted you and then withdrew the offer other than computer error? Sounds like they are making these quite frequently.

My friend has also written to them and is awaiting a response.
