it would appear that flight mid october that have been booked already allow one hold bag per pax, any more and you have to pay.

Karma:cool: I booked 4 rtn flights around 10pm for Oct, last night. The new baggage selection button was in place but said 4 X hold luggage = £0.00.
Id been mulling over booking this for days, and just bit the bullet.
    saved £16:beer:
  • it's another really poor piece of communications on easyjets part i believe. the extra tax they took last year due to the budget would be legal ....this charge added to an existing booking would be illegal IMHO.
anyone up for paying them £5 at check-in in 5 pence pieces when you have to pay the charge?

Do I need to pay ? It seems like it with the t&cs.
Is it possible to add this retrospectivly ? It shouldnt be
The green tax was different, it became law via the budget. Governments can do that, businesses cant, or can they?
Does this change to their t&cs means they can add on what they want, when they want.
It IMO makes the price you book with irrelevent.
  • budgetflyer you are right with regard to taxes and i'm sure they can't just add a charge at their whim for luggage to existing bookings.

I dont think it is retrospective. I logged into my booking and it says
4 Hold bag(s) per flight between all passengers combined

The 4 passenger(s) in this booking may check in a combined total of 4 hold bag(s). The 20kg hold bag weight allowance (per passenger) does not increase with the addition of further hold bags.
If you wish to add hold bags to your booking, you can add the relevant charge to your booking.

So all because someone already does something, it is all their fault?!!

Perhaps it is just a business decision on the part of Easyjet ... or maybe they are colluding?!

Anybody want to blame Ryanair for anything else? Global warming, war, disease?!

    probably flyglobespan :rotfl::rotfl:

Has anyone looked at their musical instrument charges:eek:

Normally someone with a flute and piccolo could carry them inside their normal hand luggage allowance bag. Now they have to pay for each item on each flight. £15 per flight if prepaid, and £20 if not. So for a flute and piccolo you're adding £60 to £80 to the return flight cost

If you don't prebook and try to get through as per normal, you could face having to pay that at the airport, this is a major problem as lots of flyers to music courses around europe are children or students on limited means without a credit card to pay.

£5 in 5p is the largest amount you can use in a single transaction (if the amount was £5.05, and you tried to pay in 5p pieces, then they could refuse it by law!). I wonder if the price will go up just to avoid this?!
