I never understand why people who post feel their time has been wasted. Surely if they had something better to do they would be doing it rather than trawling through other peoples trials and tribulations.

I was refering to the people in this thread who gave detailed replies offering advice. It isn't a waste of time if someone is helping people who genuinely need help.

I'm sorry but this is an utter fabricated pile of lies. I'm surprised no one has pointed this out.

Let's look at the facts you've stated.

You say he'll take home £58 per week working 37.5 hours on minimum wage after travel costs.

37.5 hours on minimum wage is £243 per week, which is about £225/week after tax and NI.

He would also get another £200 per month WTC working those hours which would take him up to close to £270-£280 per week in his pocket.

So, if you're saying he'll take home £58 after travel costs, that means his travel costs are £170 per week if you don't take the wtc into consideration.

Assuming he's working 6 days per week, that's £27 per day in travel costs.

Did he budget for a limosuine to take him to work? lol.

You've just said the job centre is a 4 hour walk. Average walking speed is about 3mph, so the job centre is 12 miles away.

You're trying to say it's going to cost £27 per day to travel 12 miles to work? You can travel from Glasgow to London cheaper than that.

Minimum wage is actually very good these days. The problem is with the minimum wage, it's that 90% of people can't get more than 16 hours of work per week on these zero hour contracts, with many only getting less than 10 hours. If he can get near 40 hours then he'll be minted. £1200 per month with WTC.

Even if this £27/day travel nonsense was true he could just walk to and from work for a month then use that £1200 he's just made to get a new shared flat close to his work.

And £25 per week is more than enough to eat healthy. That's £3.5 per day on food. Asda sell 12 chicken breasts for £10. That's 5 per week to eat chicken every night for dinner. Brown rice is cheap.

Lamb liver is super nutritious and costs about £1.55 for a pack which contains 3-4 meals.

I find this laughable, because I lived off £10 per week when I was bootstraping my business and I was able to eat just fine by shopping at the reduced isle sections of tesco/asda where you can get stuff reduced from £4-5 down to as low as 30p.

£58 for 37.5 hours is roughly £1.55 per hour worked. I know I wouldnt work for £1.55 an hour, would you!!?? As regards borrowing one of my suits, he is a total different size and also he is losing his internet connection this week as cant afford it , so no idea how he is going to find these interviews. The only solution would be to use the ones in the next town to him or the ones in the Jobcentre but that would have to involve walking there which would be around a 8 hr walk ( 4 hrs there, 4 hours back ) and I doubt spending £25 a week on food would not give you the energy to healthy and the calories to walk for 8 hours each day.

    A no win situation.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the OP comes back to reply to the above dissection of his postings.

  • You realize you said in an earlier post "your client's" food budget is £25/week and now it's £10/week.

If you're going to tell lies, at least try not to contradict yourself every other post.
He is not paying any rent/mortgage as he lives there for free. Hence gives the lion share of the JSA for bills to the property ( GAS, electric, water, inurance etc..- even the amount he is paying is way to low ).
Only spare cash he has is £10 a week for very basic food ( £1.40 a day approx ).

Others have asked why I cant lend him a suit- we are total different sizes.
