The phone is a nexus 6 and comes with a fast charger. That is the one charger used on it. So either phone or charger faulty and no not used since burn happened.
Emailed the CEO and been on twitter trying to hit them up that way.

Regardless of how good it may make you feel (at the time), ranting won't help. Keep any communications with them clear, concise and civil ... you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.0
