I hope this is allowed, but as someone who has just had an offer accepted on just about the only place to come up suiting all budget/location/set-up criteria, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck! Looking within such a limited range can be demoralising, but, at least in my case, if this sale comes off it will have been entirely worth it (although if it doesn't I may need just go and curl up in a tiny ball in the corner for the rest of my life, honestly. Total nightmare, and I won't sleep properly until I have the keys in my hands!)
TL;DR: Rethink your criteria if you can, if not, have at it and don't let anyone tell you it can't be done!0 -
No scope for your OH looking for a job in another part of the country?0

Hi,
Go to Swindon/Highworth area. 2/3 Bed for 135K0 -
We brought a house in west Swindon. Just giving everyone a heads up. It is possible to buy a house in south east for an affordable price. And it has 3 beds and a garden. Yey!😀SAVING FOR OUR FIRST HOUSE DEPOSIT

Good for you. :T
But try not to call Swindon "the South East" when talking to the locals, 'cos it's in Wiltshire, which they'll think of as being in the South West.
Of course, those of us who are really in the South West have other opinions!
