Hi,
why not try to build up a wee reserve, you sound kinda desperate.0 -

Exactly !
What was your original problem again?
There is can't pay a bill and there is won't pay a bill.
You seem to want to pay a bill but the £money is not yet available . . . Can't they wait a few hours, especially as when the banks are shut . . . so is them that want their bills paid !

OH and I get paid on pay day a few seconds after midnight (3 different companies). If the pay day falls on a weekend, it is actually paid in on the last working day before the weekend. OH's pay day is tomorrow, but he got paid today. Our mortgage DD goes out tomorrow, but bills usually go out after the weekend.
Although, I wouldn't take a risk and always keep a reserve to cover any immediate bills, just in case.SPC 08 - #452 - £415

I have never worked anywhere in 30 years where the pay was not in at 0001 or shortly after on payday.0

How rum, could it be your bank OP? sometimes I think it makes the difference?
I don't know where you stand with your employer I'm afraid, but explore about possible overdraft if that is what it takes, to tide you over, making use of any 'buffers' that might be there with your account to avoid chargesYou can call the bank phoneline rather then go in branch and make any future D/D's and SO later so your covered a bit more next time, just let the bank know about your situation

I am SE, so get 'paid' between 1st-10th of each month (I send out the invoices on 1st, my clients have until the 10th of each month to pay).0

I think that, legally (I'm happy to be proved wrong if anyone comes on here who knows for sure), if you're given a pay date then your money has to be available for you to spend from the beginning of that day.Don't trust a forum for advice.
