Big companies bulk upload the instructions and its all future dated etc so happens shortly after midnight generally, really whatever time your banks systems do their overnight update.

Some small companies, like mine, its a person that logs into their online banking and makes a Faster Payment transaction per employee and at what time they do that can vary. If they were organised they may do it the day before or such and post date it but many companies want to do things at the last possible moment in case of errors or cashflow or priorities etc

Yes its a small company, doing faster payments.
Just annoying, some months ive waited until after 10PM to be paid on payday.

Mine goes in at midnight. So, today is my payday and my money was available from 00:01 this morning.

I think that, legally (I'm happy to be proved wrong if anyone comes on here who knows for sure), if you're given a pay date then your money has to be available for you to spend from the beginning of that day.

Mine's similar, we are paid during the overnight of the last but one working day to the last working day of each month. I've never sat up and checked, but I think the money arrives at 2-3am when my bank runs its daily update. It's always there when I wake up on payday.
