No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries March 2015

Do you have any specific concerns?
Other than that it's the fact I still get regular outbreaks of spots (the nasty squeezable sort) even though I'm approaching the big 5-0, and the slowly increasing appearance of 'laughter lines'. These seem to be genetic as my Mum suffers with both at the same time, and she's in the low 70's.Cheryl0 -
Some UU to report:
Boots rose bath salts - LHJ nice enough, WMBA.
White collection bath essence - I really liked the scent of this. WMBA.
Body therapy bath salts - these are probably discontinued by now, LHJ, nice enough but the petals floating around annoyed me a bit and were a pain to clean up after. Probably WNBA.
Tesco floral secrets rose body wash - quite liked this, did the job fine. Think I have another stashed away.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Sorry I've not been contributing much this month, RL is getting in the way - work has been crazy, such long days, but I only have a week left before three weeks in the sun so there is light at the end of the tunnel (and literally the only thing I need to buy for my hols is mozzie spray, so I'm hoping for a decent stash reduction
)!
I've been reading along as much as possible but will try to catch up properly later. Hope all are well, lovely to see some old faces back and some newbies too.
The UUs:
9/48. Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips x 6 - a real relic, didn't seem to do much so WNBA.
10/49. No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer 10g - pretty gutted about this, I'd hit pan but still had plenty left, opened it one day and it had completely crumbed. Too messy to use so TA the rest. Replaced with the dual bronzer from the same range - both were free on a glitch a while ago. WBA.
11/50. TBA Almond Hand Cream 30ml - freebie and probably WNB, liked the scent but a bit greasy for my liking.
12/51. Boots Extracts Cranberry Body Wash 75ml - this was a gift and I was impressed - nice scent and lathered well, a little went a long way. WMB.
Now for the INs - I needed a pre- blow-dry cream for my hair so brought a gift set over fro the pressie stash rather than buying:
7/41. Mark Hill Straight-a-holic Straightening Cream 50ml
8/42. Mark Hill Straight-a-holic Extreme Styling Spray 75ml
9/43. Mark Hill Straight-a-holic Straighten Up! Straightening Shampoo 75ml
10/44. Mark Hill Straight-a-holic Straighten Up! Straightening Conditioner 75ml
This works well as I need mini S&Cs for a long weekend away in summer anyway so will save the mess of decanting, or needing to purchase.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
Hello ladies!
Very inspired by all of your UU's.
Small one this morning, but I found a soap from like 2 years ago and basically used it up, the smell was lost so I felt like it was such a waste. Hopefully circumstances like this won't occur from now on x
Penhaligons Vaara - so amazing!
Lush Yognog soap - the creme brulee scent was lovely but made me hungry lol
Lush Snowglobe soap - old soap, lost it's smell but boy was it lovely in the beginning.
Have a great day!No buying toiletries challenge

Morning Ladies.
I have a uu
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm 50ml - WMBA, have replaced it with another in the same size and I still have more in the stash.
Willowbee/VALM - thanks for the information on the candles. I will look out for the Lily Flame ones in Waitrose. I always burn my YC for at least 4 hours but have no end of problems with them. I have ordered an Illuma Lid and if that doesn't work I won't be buying any more of their candles.
cw18 - my daughter is 11 and she uses a face wash morning and night and a Calendula moisturiser from the health food shop on her face as she is eczema prone. We noticed she was getting a few blocked pores which was why we started with the face wash, one of her favourites is Nelsons Pure & Clear.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

One very small UU from this morning - a Carven perfume sample. I've never heard of this brand before but I quite liked the scent of it.Thank you to everyone who posts on here0

Another UU from me this morning
I used the last of the Tres Emme conditioner I'd decanted into a travel bottle.
I now have 4 empty travel bottles (a complete set of all 4 colours) so can start planning how to use them for gym/travel kit - although both of those contain several small bottles I've already started that I'd like to use up first.
I've replaced it with another pre-decanted travel bottle.Cheryl0 -
Some UUs today:
Random Hotel Soap.
Random Hotel Body Lotion.
TBS Strawberry Lip Butter 10ml: This came in my advent calender - it smelled nice but that was the only good thing about it. It was white in colour so made my lips look weird when I put it on and for some reason there were little lumps and hard bits frequently in it so ended up throwing away most of it. WNBA.
Tesco Magnolia and Silk Pampering Bath Creme 1Litre: I haven't got a bath in my flat but I bought this to try as hand wash which failed miserably as the dispenser I bought didn't get on with the liquid. Ended u using as a shower gel. WBA if I had a bath.
Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve 30ml: This was a GWP and I loved it. The smell was menthol and eucalyptus-y and made my hands feel very nourished. WNBA though as the price for a full size tube is far too much for a hand cream.
In the next 16 days, I only have 2 days off (one of which is to go to the hospital) so I don't think I'm going to have time to get many UUs in the near future!
I hope everyone is well!0 -
Another UU:
Listerine Mouth Wash
TA:
Homemade Mascara - not very good so I would not make again, plus the extra bit I had in a container went moudly so don't want that anywhere near my eyes!!Read my diaryHere0 -
More UU's for me.
Body Shop Blueberry body scrub gelee 200ml. Not my sort of thing at all. To be fair, it was very good quality so I can image other people really enjoying this scrub. The smell for me was very strong, and it really was like trying to wash myself in jam. The shower was filthy afterwards as well, and even after cleaning it I have been able to smell the smell in the shower all day. Revolting. WNBA.
Neal's Yard Wild Rose beauty balm. Received this in a Christmas gift set 2 years ago, and thought the 15ml sample size was hardly worth including at all in the set because it looked so small. How wrong I was, it has taken me all this time even with consistent use to use up. Its one of those multi use balms which can cleanse or moisturise. I liked it, but it is very thick and maybe better suited to dry or mature skin. Also the smell is not overpowering. Would buy again at some point in the future.
Lush bath bomb, pink and highly scented. This was my first Lush bath bomb, it was a Christmas gift. It turned my bath water pink, and it has stained my face cloth and bath robe pink as well. Pink hearts came out of it and floated in my bath. I can see why these products are so popular, but I can't say this was my thing. Those hearts remained in the bath even after the water drained away and then I had to clean them out. More trouble than it was worth.
Don't I sound like a right moaning Minnie today? Sorry for that, but I do like to tell the truth about a product when I have used it up.
Hope you are all having a good day
Kiss0
