    Hello,

Monday again. Payday is on Friday. I still have £60 left in the bank account so that is more than enough to keep me going until Friday. I actually paid another £20 towards the loan this morning so this month I have paid £395.64 off it. I plan to keep paying off as much as I can from this every month.

Good news... I got my Virgin card sorted. I am getting the fees refunded and it's going back to 0%. So glad to get that sorted.

Month 3 of not getting into any more debt done!

Roll on Friday to see the total coming down more

Ah thank you! I am delighted. I was so worried that I was going to be paying interest on it. I still have to pay £138 towards it this month which is more than I usually would but they said it would be back to normal next month!

It really is. But I'm just so glad it got sorted. one less thing to worry about now!

2 more days until payday. I currently have £14.18 in the bank. I have £65 in my emergency fund which is a start. I am delighted that I actually have savings this month. The only thing I need to buy today is bread and I have some money in my purse for that so won't need to use the bank account at all. Roll on Friday to see my debt decrease again!

    Friday's payments will be:
    Loan £355.64
    Virgin 1 £138
    Virgin 2 £90
    Sofa £31.44
    Total: £615.08

I will hopefully be able to make a few overpayments to the loan throughout the month too.

Oh, also forgot to say... I know it's only July but I have my Christmas shopping well under way this year. I picked up a few things last night for dirt cheap. A local shop is closing down so is selling things for really cheap. I got my daughter a Trolls nail set for 50p and some socks for my husband for 30p. I also bought a load of Halloween decorations for a grand total of £1!

I have just done some very scary reading... I decided to download my bank statements for the month in excel format. I highlighted each category in a different colour. From 15th June until today we have spent £567.37 on food!!!!! What the hell! I am disgusted by that. Now I can see where all our money is going. On my SOA I had said I only spend £160 a month on grocery shopping. That is probably what I do spend on my big weekly shop a month but I have totally overlooked all the £5 and £10 shops in the local supermarket. I actually am so so shocked! I am going to download my statement more regularly to keep an eye on this. No more silly spending on food or eating out at the weekends. We simply cannot afford it. Yes, we haven't got into any more debt this month but I could have easily paid another £300 - £400 off debt instead. Raging at myself.

    Good morning,

Happy Monday. Payday was on Friday so the debts have come down again.

    I have paid off:

    £138 off Virgin
    £355.64 off Loan
    £90 off DH Virgin
    £31.44 off Sofa

    Total paid: £615.08

Trying to keep things as low spend as possible this month. DH worked overtime on Thursday so that will be an extra days pay in August's pay. That will go straight off the loan. I also transferred £50 into my savings.

Onwards and downwards... off to update my signature!

    good morning!

Happy Tuesday. Not much to report with me.

I am in desperate need of getting my hair done. I have researched so many hairdressers to try and find someone cheap enough. No luck. So I am dying it myself and going to pay for a cut just. it will be my first one since January. So I am saving myself at least £40.

I lost 1.5lbs at slimming world last night. I was so good last week so was really hoping for more, but it's still a loss so I'll take it. Going to try really hard again this week although it is my birthday at the weekend so might slip up and have some cake!

Delighted that myself and my husband have not got into any more debt since April. So that is 3 full months of paying it off. On to month 4 now and determined to keep this going. I actually can't get into any more debt anyway as all cards are cancelled and I have no idea where my virgin card is!

    Good morning everyone.

Yesterday was my 1st NSD in a while. I need to do a food shop today. I hurt my back last night so not able to move much today. So I have wrote a list and sending DH to do the shopping tonight. I just have to make sure that he sticks to the list and doesn't spend any more than necessary!

I had plans to get up into the attic today to find some stuff to sell but I'll have to put that off until my back is better. I'm trying to make any extra I can to pay more off the loan this month. According to the snowball calculator we could be debt free by October 2022 if I pay £40 a month extra off the loan. I want to try and pay more than that so we could possibly be debt free by December 2021. Here goes...
    Virgin £4892.50/ £3880
    Loan £16587.87/£11706.19
    Sofa £1100 / £314.40 Virgin £6550 / £4533.20
    Barclaycard £5411.41/£0:j
    DH Halifax £413.77 /£0:j Overdraft £450/£0 :j
    Total £35405.55/ £20433.79
