Estate agent refusing to provide floorplan

Hello All.

In brief - had house up for sale for over six months with no viewings. Have recently requested some professional photos to be taken and a floor plan to be provided. While they are happy to provide a photographer at a cost they say they can't provide a floor plan. I have asked for an explanation but so far I am just getting the same answer that they don't provide that service.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Feeling a little bit miffed to say the least!

    Sounds like you need to find a new agent who is interested in selling your house!

    Presumably nothing as they have done diddly squat in the last SIX MONTHS and as such have not sold it!

    Many agents still don't do floorplans, just look on Rightmove.
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    What contract have you signed? Are you locked in? For how long?

    Give notice and find new agent.

    If they don't provide that service then they don't provide that service.


    If its important to you then change agents.

    Do they do floorplans for other houses, or do they not do them at all?
    As has already been said, I would be looking for a new agent.

    If you've got half an hour free, it's pretty easy to do some yourself.

    All you need is a tape measure and some sort of CAD software, which you can find free versions of. (like sketchup)

    Thanks to all for the advice. I respect that not all estate agents do it but would have thought it could be made available on request - even at a charge.

    Anyway, I had a heated conversation with the agent who got extremely defensive when I tried to get an answer as to why and the outcome is that they'll do it along with pro shots for free. To be honest it was a conversation I could have done without as it wasn't a nice experience however if they deliver what I have requested I guess it's a start.

    Personally I would have walked. You've got a broken relationship even if you've got your floorplan.

    You never answered- when are you tied in till?
