Both my husband and I wear Air Pegasus, we stock up when we go to Orlando. Always put them through the washer on a Delicates wash and they come out fine. I don't think you can blame Nike, it is a risk you take.

I have never put trainers in a washing machine, cant believe anyone would but it seems some do.

OP you have learned that your particular ones shouldnt!

    no ones fault but yours
  • This is a wind up. Ignore the washing machine. They were used for a half marathon. Good effort.

    From the Nike UK website:

There wasn't a manufacturing defect, hence no valid warranty claim.

The trainers might not have stated that they shouldn't be put in a washing machine, but should they really have to?
I've never seen a washing machine with a cycle for trainers and shoes which gives a reasonable indication that putting them in isn't a good idea.

The last washing machine we had and the current machine we have, has a special cycle for training shoes, dont know how well they work have never used them with any of our training shoes

I've been washing all my New Balance road and Inov-8 XC trainers for years in a machine with no problems - only ever on the 30 degree quick wash though. Do remember hearing a guy trying to return Nike trainers to JD Sports a few years ago after he washed them on a 90 degree wash and they'd melted lol

I understand what you saying -
all the cleaning instructions are online - they say how to clean them and they 'recommend' not washing them in the washing machine but doesnt say that by doing so the warranty would be voided. this is my issue. those trainers are breathable trainers with loads of hole likes covering for helping my feet to breath and mud goes inside and its difficult to clean with merely a cloth so I put them in the washing machine - wasnt aware that they had metal panelling around the sole with came off in the washing machine - there was no instructions with the shoes but it was online only

    its called common sense

just move on as you will never win this one y
