NSD no 7 surprised I made it but me and DD managed to entertain each other for zero quids

Won't be an NSD tomorrow though, but ok with that

......And Nargleblast takes off at the crest and soars through the air, skis perfectly aligned, pausing mid-flight to drop NSD number 10 into a rumbling Cauldron of Doom, then swoops down to make a perfect landing at the front door of the chalet.

Whaddya mean, the contest didn t happen?????? So all the NSD gang were comatose after the St Paddy Day party? I knew that green Guinness was suspect, anything supplied by Hans Peter is bound to have fallen off the back of a very dodgy lorry, thank goodness I stuck to my own home brew! Paracetamol all round, Igor, and make sure they're all ready for the jump tomorrow!

So,Thursday is here,and as we excitedly await The Greatest Ever Amateur Completely Bonkers Ski Jump Competition,Hubert dashes in,searching for his purple,sparkly,diamante ski jump all-in-one combo (with added glitter,diligently and painstakingly sewn on by Knit Witch,her hands a blur of activity,and who has been up all night,hard at it),Nargle,who is having a hard time deciding which pair of ski boots to wear (lime green with a fuchsia trim or her favourite chic and sleek Spongebob Squarepants sassy number with optinal fur trim),Igor (who seems to have aggravated his hernia,and is trussed up like nobodies business.Can he compete?! :eek: This was to be His Day of Reckoning...... ...),jodles16,who is in a panic,as she's just realized that her ski jump outfit is two sizes too small (eek!),bestfootforward,who is all set for the off,but hasn't realised that both feet stay together (recipe for disaster IMHO :eek:),scotmumof3 despondent that she can't compete,due to being in crutches (thanks Hubert),and fedup,who seems to be the quickest nsder around,but who is very modest with it.

Swedish Cheffie is preparing a smoothie sports drink to keep our energy levels up,though without a blender in sight,has cunningly improvised with his bazookie and a steady hand,throwing all manner of things in the air and obliterating them.Not sure how he's going to get it all in a glass.

Gunther,our orange tanned hunk (think Greek God) of a ski instructor (better known as Bert Scroggins from Bognor Regis,wanted by the police for fraud and dangerous overuse of a tanning bed) has just swaggered in,pouting to the cameras like a sulky teenager.Everyone,get those sunglasses on,or you'll never see again. :eek:

The TV cameras are here and waiting....

Oh, it's sunscreen. Still looks daft. And why are you walking like John Wayne? Oh, it's your hernia plus all the woollen padding in your truss which knitwitch kindly made for you....still looks daft. Hubert, you might like purple sparkly ski wear but.....it still looks daft. Take a leaf out of my book if you want to look suave and sophisticated on the slopes.....I decided on the salmon pink and fluorescent lime green salopettes with a little mauve rara skirt and full Goth makeup. There's nothing like a bit of style when you're ski jumping, pass me the pilchard smoothie, Cheffy babes, I'm a raring to go! Cameras this way, darlings!

:mad: HUBERT!!!! :mad: TV cameras and everything and me doing my best mummy impression with all these bandages. Could have been my 15 mins of fame Rolling in with NSD #11 yesterday am going to Ike* today for a few bits and pieces and Tesc* for Easter eggs so no NSD today.
