Thanks Nargle and Marmite, I think I sometimes overthink! No one seems to have noticed that I'm cutting down spend days, and I am still saving/spending as well just over less days! Though hubby has told some people and they are really keen as well, seems we are all in the same money boat!

I also am loath to meet people for a coffee in town. It's something that I just don't do on my own any more.Ok,maybe meeting up with someone once in a blue moon and having a coffee. It still rarely happens.
    .

A couple of years ago, I was bought a Dobbies (the garden store chain if anyone's not familiar with it) club subscription for Xmas. Sounds silly but.....in that you automatically get 2 free coffees every month! I carried on the subs, only £10 per year and meet friends there

Today wasn't an NSD for me as I had to replace my laptop which sounds like a war zone now. The good thing is that I was able to get a barely one month old one from eBay at 170 pounds. A brand new one would have cost me upwards of 450 for the same specs. I think that's a win. I too will be selling my current laptop once the new one arrives.
£47605.33 outstanding in C.C (£8000 Interest free till January 2025)

A sure fire way not to spend. :)

So,people seem to be understanding. That's good.

I agree with what Nargle wrote. You can still enjoy yourself with less money.

Another idea is to put money aside in a 'treats' pot.It could be for a magazine or book,a coffee with friends, treating yourself to a new lipstick - whatever you fancy.
