NSD number 4 today.
Jodles- I personally only count an NSD if I have literally not spent a single penny in a day (excluding any direct debits leaving my account). Other people don't include essential spends or medication or items within their budget. But I think it's totally up to you how you wish to do itLetting Go NST #17

Friday is here at last.
There's a big party tonight.Cheffie is already busy in the kitchen;his fingers a blur,as he deftly makes some lovely delicacies, mostly chicky based. To keep Igor happy,he's preparing a traditional ferret and pilchard topping. And the odd Swedish meatball,of course.
Poor Igor.Yesterday's ski jump lesson proved just a bit too much, and as per his instructions to cover all sores bits in bandage.he's now bandaged head to foot. Will someone please take that thermometer out.It looks silly, and besides Cheffie needs it in the kitchen.
Don't worry scotmum.Us veggies have nice chick pea dish already bubbling away.Tell me he at least washed the thermometer don't want all our ski buddies ending up with the runs and I don't mean ski runs
NSD #4 for me today.
donna dynamo I hope your OH is ok.Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Out of curiosity what do others include or not include as and NSD?
Jodles
For me,all budgeted spends are allowed.I have a monthly budget for most things, and a weekly budget for groceries.
Also,these things don't count:
-prescriptions
-all DDs,bills, rent and other such payments. These are essential.
-public transport
-going swimming.I've got a subscription.
Nsds are very useful to help me avoid impulse buys, which can be a real problem for me.I definitely get a buzz when buying things sometimes.
Yesterday was a 'true' nsd.No spends whatsoever.Today I spent,but it was all budgeted for,so it's still an nsd.0 -

I do include any spends not essential such as a bar of chocolate or a bottle of wine as even though they could come off the grocery budget they aren't essentials.Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Yup Marmite that means I'm rolling in with number 5/20! A quarter way towards the target!
Just as well I said something.Imagine a precious nsd escaping from your clutches! :eek:scotmumof3 wrote: »I do include any spends not essential such as a bar of chocolate or a bottle of wine as even though they could come off the grocery budget they aren't essentials.
Not essential,you say?Interesting.....
scotmum I'm only the messenger,so I have to hope that the thermometer was properly cleaned..... Nobody here wants the runs, like you say.Swedish Chef is going to be even more stressed, now that Igor is bandaged up and out of action.
And I'm not sure that the 1940's plumbing will stand up to the challenge.
Now everyone, party face.party face!Yes,it's time for a good old knees up.
So,we have planned a few party games:
-a yodeling competition
-The Sexiest Pair of Knees Competition
-karaoke - of course!
-there will also be a fashion show with nargle and others modelling the latest 'in' wellies straight from the catwalk shows.
Now,kerri hasn't arrived over here yet,so jodles16 and scotmum are going to impress us all with their pole dancing skills. :rotfl::rotfl:
There's a buffet,with lots of yummy things to eat,and of course,it's an open bar.:D
Gunther, our hunk of a ski instructor,is a bit shy.So cheexy,do you fancy getting him on the dancefloor and starting the conga line?
I've got a slight headache, and am going to bed with some hot cocoa.
Enjoy!0 -
And well done to Ellieseleven and scotmum - you've both won your 'in a row' dancing snowmen! :j:j:j0
