I am chairman of a community group which helps the young and old alike. I have had many a conversation with the senior members of our group who were from a young age taught not to be rude therefore what seems nice person who must know them as they call them by name comes on the phone they are not going to put it down. Just an example....One said to me that she has paid Microsoft 6 times so why do they still call! Another one said she had to stop using her computer as it kept going wrong and she couldn't afford to keep paying for it to be repaired! Another one had a call saying that her satellite dish insurance had run out and that she needed to pay in excess of £150 she was wrote out a cheque and thank goodness asked me to post it.....she has dementia. These are the people that are prayed on by these calls.
