EE driving me nuts!

Although, EE, Orange & T-Mobile are 3 brands with common ownership, for historic reasons the offers are significantly different.
If data cost is important on PAYG, The T-Mobile 6 months of data for £20 is hard to beat but is only available on a T-Mobile SIM (not EE or Orange).
This may not be what you want to hear being half way through porting your number to an EE SIM......0 -

i don't really use data tbh, it's mostly for texting and the odd call. EE say on their website that they will still support Orange and T Mobile customers it seems they are pushing to move people to EE.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Well they did as they promised and today my old phone didn't work and the Iphone didn't work either! Even though I was forced to go to EE from Orange the Iphone has now locked because it was originally on orange too, although EE tell me that orange is part of EE now. I have been told it may take up to 7 days to unlock the I phone.
In the meantime the new EE sim doesn't work in my old phone or the Iphone I want to use. The one saving grace is that EE sent me the new PAYG sim with a very basic alcatel phone and it works in that, so I have at least something to use until the Iphone is unlocked. When it is unlocked I will have to update the carrier through Itunes on the Mac.
Really, things shouldn't be this complicated especially when it is all within the same company.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
