    They're not immune. Avast has had similar effects on IE twice for me. You have to uninstall something on Avast (can't remember what off the top of my head, there's details on the forum somewhere) to prevent the crashes.
  • Yay! Just noticed the regular Norton report come up on screen and thought "Looks hopeful".

    Swopped Internet browser and ...yep....they've sorted their glitch out and all is back to normal.

    Just wanted to say thanks for this thread....was exactly the problem i had, and i managed to get it sorted. Also have now switched to Google Chrome too.
    How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
