The single track road - life on a different path

Thank you Apple,
I think I've made the right decision. I feel like it makes me much more accountable and need to rely on YNAB rather than spending first and accounting for it after if you know what I mean.
As for the neck ache, I'm not entirely sure what it is to be honest. I've had it for a few weeks now on and off and always bad at night and when I wake up, but now I have tonsilitis and the glands in my neck are sore, so I'm wondering if it was that brewing...
I bought some new squishy pillows,= a couple of weeks ago thinking my pillows needed replacing, but they made it worse.
The memory foam one I used last night does seem to have helped though - my neck isn't stiff or achey, but unfortunately it did nothing for better sleep.
I'm starting to think I may need to look at some rescue remedy night time drops or some nightol or something. I'm reluctant to take them though when I have DS as it would worry me that I wouldn't wake up or hear him in the night if he needed me - will have to look into how they actually work. I get around 3-4 hours of unsettled sleep a night at the moment and it's just not enough.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

Perhaps see your GP for advice on the nightol or rescue remedy etc? I was on the brink of using them until my much earlier nights/better routine sorted me out, so at the moment I don't need them. I wouldn't have thought that they would knock you out so deeply that you wouldn't hear DS, but best be on the safe side.
Or perhaps you could try taking a dose when he's at his Dad's so you can judge the effect? xx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Thanks HB, the lovely Lilty has given me some advice on the Bachs stuff and I've had a look into it online after picking some up at lunchtime. Like you said, I'm going to try it when DS is at his Dad's, so hopefully Sunday morning I'll wake up as a new (improved) person!
A few spends today at lunch time - the rescue remedy, a sandwich/salad thing for lunch (naughty), 65p on treats for colleagues after a particularly slow week (I spoil them, I know :rotfl:!).
I also went back and bought lots more of the picture frame sets which were 49p for three. I painted over the bright pink set last night that I bought as a gift yesterday and they've come up so nice I've decided to keep them! I bought 6 more sets - 5 to make myself a photo wall in the lounge once painted, and one to replace the gift set.
I also bought some scissors to replace my rusty ones... and got asked for ID!!! :rotfl::D:D:D:D It made my day... until she turned around and said 'oh yeah, it's obvious when you look at your face' when I told her I was 36!!!:mad::mad::(:( <<<< There's great customer service for you!!!

Finances/Debt:
• All outstanding business orders made, packed and to be posted today.
• Ebay parcels wrapped and posted today.
• Will list the rest of items found for ebay tonight.
• YNAB updated with yesterday's spends and today's £10 for DS's summer club, from childcare pot.
• Loving the simplified bank account setup via YNAB. It's much easier not to have to physically transfer money from various pots each time a purchase is made or I allocate budgets from one place to another.
• Need to pay towards something I'd forgotten all about.£114, so will unfortunately have to go on the credit card rather than sending me overdrawn.
Home/family/Fitness/Fun:
• DS HOME!!!:D:D:D:D:j:j:j:j
• Washing done last night and left on the line overnight as a nice day predicted here today.
• Enjoying my current photo-wall project for the lounge with the cheap frames bought yesterday. Painting some more tonight and will choose the photos to go in them. I love a project, me!
• Shared a takeaway with DS's Dad last night. £8 contribution from me from my spare change money box, so nothing came out of the bank account.
• Last day of work for me today for a week:D Unfortunately feeling rough as a badger with tonsilitis - struggling to swallow now.
• Even more rubbish sleep than the rubbish sleep the previous night. Am taking the rescue remedy tomorrow night when DS at his Dad's.

Feeling pretty emotional tonight.
Him came home yesterday and we had a disagreement last night over some 'mistruths' on his part which left me rather hurt, to the point where I almost called it a day. Being cryptic, but most of you will get the gist, it involved him paring down some details over something trivial to avoid a grilling at the time it was mentioned, but I struggled to understand why there was the need to be dishonest if there was nothing untoward there in the first place iykwim.
Anyway, all was sorted, I think, and we ended up having a relatively nice night and lazy morning today. I feel a bit 'raw' today though and now I'm on my own tonight, quite upset about life as it is.
I'm making the mistake of watching one born every minute presently too - and being particularly broody with the likelihood of never having another is not helping! Seem intent on torturing myself tonight!
Moneywise, I've got some answering to YNAB to do. Have spent over in the shopping and 'spending' budgets today, so I'm going to need to transfer some cash from other savings tomorrow, I don't feel up to dealing with it tonight. No extravagant spending, but the money left in each category was miniscule so I guess it was always going to happen.
I've now got the week off with DS, so am hoping to have a nice, but cheap, week with him. Unfortunately the weather is supposed to be shocking, so that's not going to help. I was hoping to be outdoors and do a spot of geocaching with him, but we'll see if the rain stays away.
Am also convinced it's Saturday today! I seem to have lost a day somewhere! Thank goodness I've got the week off or I'd probably think it was Sunday and forget to go to work tomorrow!
Night all

Finances:
• Another £100 paid off the tax bill from the business earnings, so that's £244.20 to pay now before the end of January.
• Sorted lots more to go on ebay, ready for a listing extravaganza next week when DS is away.
• Spent way too much money, bank account and savings pots pretty much at zero.
• Been slack with YNAB. Need to be more realistic with category balances and the 'if I haven't got it available, don't spend it' rule. See above...:o:(
Life (the new blanket-term for everything else!)
• Illness aside, was nice to be off work. Had a nice time with DS and Him.
• Reading a CBT-based book on healthy eating and positive attitudes and seems to be rubbing off on me slightly. :T
• Have had bronchitis for two weeks now, feeling pretty rubbish.
• DS back on reflux meds.
• Back at work. Which is pretty rubbish at the moment.

Hi!
Glad you had a good week off ....back to the grind now? I always feel a bit flat after time off - is there anything you can plan to give you something to look forward to?
Why not take a trip to the coast this weekend and let the wind blow the cobwebs away? Usually works for me.
Hope the bronchitis gets better soon - have you had antibiotics? Take care xx0
