I really am in no position to pressure you - I only ended up "reading" it MONTHS after someone recommended it to me and only when I got it in audio version :rotfl:

Right, have decided to stick the credit card debt in my signature, now that it will only be going down. I'm afraid it took a bit of a beating on holiday, despite me only taking it for emergencies.
To be honest though, I don't regret it, I had an awesome time and made some lovely memories.
It'll be paid off slowly now until the business gets busy again and then hopefully it will be gone within a few months. And yes, it's cut up now so no chance of spending on it. :TMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

Hi chick!! I've just read your diary... Wow, how do you fit so much stuff in one day?!

I think it's lovely that you & your ex are moving on with your lives with no bitterness & the upmost respect to each other. Very rare to see that these days. I can imagine its also very difficult at times though. As you said, sometimes it's better when someone has done something as you have a reason to hate them!! I had a bf a few years ago and we split on similar terms. It was easier in the sense that we didn't have kids together, or a mortgage, but it was still sad and for a while I thought what if...? But now we both know it was definitely the right decision and we're both a lot happier now.
I hope tonight goes well with helping your ex move some more of his things. And the soup, mmmmmWhat flavour?! xxx

Thanks and :hello: Becs,
Yeah, it's not been easy, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I just hope Ds is ok through all of this, we're grown ups so we can look after ourselves, but I worry so much for him and his future happiness.
Soup will be a tomato & veg concoction (courgettes, leeks, carrots mainly:)). I haven't made soup for a while after overdosing on butternut squash soup until I almost turned orange and got sick of the sight of it. :rotfl::o
Pea & mint is my all-time favourite, so may have to make some of that next week... mmmmm
I gotta stop this, I'm starving now!!!Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

I didn't get chance to make soup last night, or to sort my energy meter numbers as I was putting flatpack together round at the ex's new house (he's doesn't have a clue where to start with practical things!). I got most of the downstairs stuff done for him, just a small table/chairs, chest of drawers and toy storage unit for Ds's bedroom to do over there now, and a few blinds to put up. Will hopefully get it done by the end of the weekend.
A couple of spends planned for today - Mother's day card & stamps, a little cake for a friend's birthday (£5) and some bits for Ds's meals (£7 ish), plus £7 cash needed to pay for some printing supplies.
This weekend (and next!) will be a cheap one and mainly focusing on getting the ex moved in and everything ship-shape for him.
I'm really loving the no-overdraft on my account. It's forcing me to consider every purchase and to really keep an eye on my budget better. I'm itching to get back onto YNAB, but living arrangements are still a bit off the norm, so will get it all set up in time for payday in a couple of weeks.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61
