Glad LL has now settled in his own room Levi, that's one hell of a hurdle to have cleared. :T

Fingers crossed for the PPI - I had a loan 15 years ago which had PPI on it I was mis-advised about, but unfortunately I shredded all the paperwork years ago and Lloyds claim they have no record of it either, so I guess it would be stalemate. :(

Packaged bank account is the new thing, Im just glad the FSA have put their foot down about pressure sales tactics, which has made my working day a lot easier as I always struggled with the aspect of my job, now I am happy just to talk to the customers about the weather, why is it customers like to tell you how lovely it is outside when you are working. its like they are trying to rub it in to you, you say have a good day in the sunshine with a grimace wanting to break through your smile....

gets me sometimes.... I am enjoying the sun, blinds are up and windows are open, can hear the pleasure summer outside but can't even imagine trying to get out in it, my legs and body and head just dont feel very connected right now...

only advantage to having a sick day was I was in to take in a parcel of my new coffee machine, as I bought new coffee pods that didnt work in my existing machine so had to buy another one, not very MSE but I do like my coffee,

hope its makes my head feel better or put me into a caffeine dosed nap...

bummer on that loan of yours.. my only saving grace on this (10 yr old loan) was that I still have the same current account with Natwest that it was paid in to... it was a tip off from :money: this site :money: that helped me establish that so woo.. MSE strikes again:Dxx (well I hope I'm not eating my words when they pay me 17p :rotfl:) xx

Thats a good idea, I still have the same current account which the DD for my CC must have been paid from, I will get onto HSBC to see if I can get a account number, as its now disappeared from my credit file as its been over 10 years....

thanks for that hint - on the phone I go :-)

Me&O.. Lloyds have a dedicated PPI claims department, if this was not who you dealt with before, they are on 0800 151 0292 <-- and if you tell them that you still hold the current account that the loan was paid in to, they *should* be able to trace it back. That is what I did, but with Natwest (RBS) and the operative just typed my account number in to the computer and went back to the date specified (I only knew the month/year, literally had no other info) and it came up on the system, showing I also had PPI on it. Try that number if you haven't already... maybe worth another shot, nothing to lose! x

    From Lloyds FAQ:

My PPI policy was taken out many years ago. Can I still complain?

We will investigate any complaint received properly and fairly. Please be aware that if your policy was cancelled over 6 years ago it is unlikely we will have any documentation about the circumstances of your sale, so any information you are able to provide would help us to complete a full investigation of your case.

I cannot find any paperwork; can I still complain?

Yes, even if you can’t find your paperwork we will investigate your complaint properly and fairly. To be honest I don't think Natwest have anything on mine either and all this "investigation" is phoney- somewhat winging it - deffo sensed that from the guy on the phone today! - but I'm happy to play along ;) It is very historical but I have harped on enough about how mis-sold it was to me I expect they will cough up just to get rid of another claimant.

my fingers are crossed for you Levi I have another claim but as I work for lloyds not going to pursue it as that like shitt^&* on your own doorstop so I decided against it, but to be honest PPI was added as it gave the advisor more "points" and though I didnt have the option to not have it so although I knew it wasn't suitable for me as i had sick pay scheme to cover payments, I dont think I even signed the agreement as it was done via email.... ho hum....

So, I should hear by 11th June... fingers crossed!

Thank you Levi, even if it comes to nothing it was worth a try!

I remember it clearly - I had a 0% overdraft which was supposed to be available for 2 years after graduating from uni. Within a month of leaving uni and securing a good job, Lloyds recalled my overdraft, then proceeded to tell me I'd HAVE to take a loan out with them to repay it. I can still remember the woman and the room she took me into, telling me if I didn't take PPI out they wouldn't give me the loan so I would have to pay the £2k back some other way.:mad::mad::mad: Thus started the debt spiral...

Come to think of it, how they ever gave me a loan when I hadn't actually started that job yet, I don't know!
